Why don’t studios do press releases any more to make their official announcements, such as casting and so on? Why do they rely on the trades to release that information, and when did that change? I remember during the Star Wars prequel era that all announcements came directly from Starwars.com, plus all of the official announcements for the Nolan TDK trilogy usually came from WB press releases. So why did studios stop releasing their information that way?

They have updated their DC Universe subscriptions (only offering a month instead of a year) and this seems like the "First Step" for them cleaning up their game. Do you think it would be beneficial to them to "divide the media" so to speak (keeping the Comics on DC Universe and keeping the Movies and Shows on HBOMAX)? Can we even expect them to know what to do at this point?

I was just thinking about how different it would be if this pandemic had come last year from a Marvel Studios perspective. We are all obviously excited about Black Widow, but I think it's fair to say we are not anticipating it as much as we were Endgame last year. The pandemic would have delayed Endgame if this had happened last year at the same time. I'm curious what your thoughts are on how the delays would have affected arguably the most anticipated theatrical release in history for both us super fans and the general public. By extension, do you still believe it would still have broken the record when it finally did release?

Marvel Studios will not be dropping The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+ next month. Sony Pictures has chosen a new release date for the next MCU Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland. In this episode, we first go around the Marvel Cinematic Universe to recap where all of the movies and Disney+ series currently stand. We also do a little more fan-casting for the Fantastic Four with additional choices for Marvel's First Family, along with some options for Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer, Galactus, and Mole Man!
