    0:20 Woo S! Kim

I was watching “Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2” for Father’s Day and found something so sad and so tragic, do you believe as I do that the only reason Star Lord carried the Celestial Gene is because Meredith Quill is the only being other than himself that Ego truly loved and love was the key to passing on those genes to an heir?

    1:37 Jim Scroggs

What do you think would be a reasonable price for the bundle of Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+ and do you think Hulu Live would be a part of that?

    7:33 Woo S! Kim

I have not been to Disneyland in years and I have never been to Disney World, in your view other than money spent what is the one thing at the parks that needs to be improved upon?

    7:59 bryan smith

Hey Sean hope everything is good . I wanted to get your thoughts, on the x-men vs fantastic four civil war movie we almost got . Sounds like it would have been a good move and also did you get a chance to read ,the beast solo movie screenplay that was released last week?

    7:59 Andy Barton

I read recently that Sebastian Stan has somewhere between three and five movies left for Marvel Studios in his contract, and Anthony Mackie's joked about having "like 50". Do you have any insight as to whether or not the Disney+ series is a part of that count? It sounds like Mackie probably has a long road ahead of him as the new Cap, so for Stan at least, what kind of combination of appearances would you speculate he might make to finish off his contract, assuming he doesn't re-sign?

    13:06 Matt Gilbert

You have mentioned your wish to see a Hulk v. Thing battle in the MCU, and I am with you on that. Just as Marvel referenced The Infinity Gauntlet for material, and since Stan Lee established the Hulk's superior strength early on in a reply to a fan letter in the comics, is there any particular Hulk v. Thing story you would enjoy seeing similarly referenced? Would you like to see the Hulk go rogue from The Avengers, leading to a FF/Avengers crossover similar to FF#25-26? Or perhaps have The Thing unexpectedly win by switching brains with Hulk a la 1975's Giant-Size Super Stars? Or perhaps they are set up to battle in the desert by their foes a la Marvel Feature #11? Or maybe even have Hulk pound Thing mercilessly into the ground as in World War Hulk?

Personally, I like the story from FF #112, where Reed gave Ben the ability to switch back and forth between Ben Grimm and The Thing at will, with the unfortunate side effect of making him evil. After four issues of The Thing terrorizing the rest of the FF, Reed calls upon Bruce Banner to help find a cure, and The Hulk shows up to administer it - almost tragically - in one of the great Hulk versus Thing battles in the comics. What are your thoughts?

    23:49 Paul Shearman

Hey Sean and patrons, hope everyone is well. Sean, you’ve always talked about enjoying the journey to a new Marvel movie - which is very good advice and definitely adds to the experience - but is ‘enjoyment’ a word you would use to describe the journey we’re currently on to learn anything (official) about what Marvel Studios have coming next?

I’m liking the opportunity for speculation, and I would say that I am enjoying this period of trying to work out what’s next on the slate (we have some informed guesses such as Black Panther 2 and Doctor Strange 2, Eternals etc), but I’m curious on how you would ‘grade’ the current enjoyment level until we reach comic con or D23 for some tangibles.

Thanks as always, enjoy the rest of your week and the same of course applies to all the cool patrons!

    29:48 Alex Ward

In the MCU, masked characters like Spider-Man and Iron Man still get tons of facetime, partially due to their suits' interfaces. How do you think they'll handle this "issue" with characters like the Thing, Silver Surfer, and Doctor Doom? Do you think the fact that their faces will be mostly concealed will detract big name actors from seeking these roles?

    32:08 Alex Ward

McFeely told the New York Times that the Netflix characters didn't show up in Endgame because audiences couldn't be expected to recognize them, but what do you think makes Disney Plus a different story? Is Marvel Studios expecting a bigger audience for their streaming shows than they had on Netflix?

    40:10 Linc

what rumoured property do you put the least and most stock in? And why?

    0:20 Woo S! Kim

What do you believe is the most significant benefit that Marvel Studios will gain by having Marvel's First Family and The Mutants back other than the most obvious gain, having most of their characters back under their roof.  I just find it ironic that feige was discussing and or hinting at the Marvel Cinematic Universe going for Cosmic elements than they did previously even before the Disney/FOX desl, now it is an even better situation than before.

    3:56 Woo S! Kim

We haven't seen them in Marvel Studios' films and please correct me if I am wrong, but are there such things as naturally born heroic Kree?  I just ask this because of how "Captain Marvel" showed us a different side of The Skrulls.

    5:55 Alexander Williams

Love the show! One of my biggest Marvel (Fox) pet peeves is “the reboot.” Retelling an origin story is unnecessary and a 20 min waste of movie time. The most egregious rebooter is the Fantastic Four, which had to condense its own movie to make space for yet another poorly constructed origin story.  Given the complexity of FF’s real origin story (and the fact that it couldn’t get worse) would’t the franchise be served introducing characters in onesies/foursies? I’d prefer to see a Dr. Doom solo movie or one where he’s a foil for Dr. Strange. This could then be followed by a FF movie. I know you guys are FF super fans. Have you heard anything about what’s going on with the franchise? Is there any hope for the FF? Any chance you guys could serve as comic consultants to spare us all from another steaming pile of FF? Thanks for a great show!

    10:07 Alex Ward

Hi Sean! Hope you and the patrons are all doing well! So I'm sure you've seen the latest IMAX poster for Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the jokes that followed. I do think it's pretty funny, especially knowing there are other good FFH posters out there, but I have some questions: How much does a movie's poster quality affect its box office success? Are there any instances in which a bad poster hurt a good movie, or maybe a bad movie that had a good poster? Venom maybe?

    17:44 Alex Ward

Forgive me if you've already discussed the Avengers video game that's coming out, but I am wondering what your general impressions are. I like that the approach they're taking but I'm not that excited about the playable characters. Don't get me wrong, I love these characters, but I don't necessarily think the film Avengers lineup are the most fun to play as. What Avengers are you excited to play as, and which additional characters would you like to play as in a video game? Are you planning on getting Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for Switch? I don't have a Switch but I'm thinking of getting one just for that game.

    22:46 Alex Ward

Given Far From Home's unique release date during a very busy week (you, me, and Tom Cruise's birthday, plus the Fourth of July), what are your plans to sneak in showings of this film, or multiple? Okay, thank you so much Sean and have an awesome week everyone!

    25:33 Mike Garrison

Hey Sean and everyone, hope you're doing well. I did an X-Men re-watch before forcing myself to see Dark Pheonix and every time I re-watch these movies my love for Magneto is reinforced.  My question is: I really like Magneto's origins in the movies and comics - but if/when he is introduced to the MCU;  being a Holocaust survivor wouldn't make much sense anymore as it could be anywhere from 2025-2030 (?) in the MCU timeline. How do you think Marvel Studios, or how would you address this?  Could they have Magneto be a survivor of genocide of a fictional country, or maybe change Magneto's race and have him be a survivor of more recent events that happened in the real world? Thanks for doing this, look forward to your answer.

    29:29 Michael Weaselboy

Hey Sean, about the fox X-Men movies, are you upset that Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender never interacted onscreen??

    30:16 Alex Ward

Do you have any morbid curiosity in seeing the supposed "Kinberg cut" of Dark Phoenix that includes Skrulls and a Civil War-esque ending?

    30:26 Linc

what rumoured property do you put the least and most stock in? And why?

    36:08 Giuseppe Vicaretti

Hey Sean and fellow Patrons, hope you're all having a good start to the weekend. My question for you Sean is not really related to Marvel, but it would have some effect on them I think. What is your take, if you have one on DC Universe currently and the official cancellation of Swamp Thing after only its first episode being aired? Does this give Marvel any kind of advantage on newer content they will make in the future?

    45:04 David Rosen

Do you make anything of the fact that the new comic book version of Reed Richards in "War of the Realms" is being made to look like a bearded John Krasinski? It seems like the last time we got a comic book character who was modeled after a real life person, we got Samuel L Jackson in the MCU. Not to wear my tin foil hat too tight, but you think Kevin Feige already has his Reed Richards in mind with Krasinski and wants that to be reflected in the books too?

    47:54 David Rosen

Like many of us I’m sure, one of my favorite parts of bringing home a new MCU movie are the special features and learning about what actually went into the creation of a particular movie. To be honest, though, I’ve started to get bored with getting the same kinds of bonus features. It’s made me start to think about what new kinds of features i would be interested in seeing, and one thing that came to mind would be a totally stripped down version of the movie made up entirely of dailies and first draft storyboards or animatics for all-CGI scenes where there is no set footage. No visual effects, no sound effects, no music, no nothing. Just the bare minimum. personally, I would love to see what these effects-heavy movies look like before any post work happens. I already appreciate what goes into making these kinds of movies, but I think I would appreciate them even more to see them in their raw form. Would something like this interest you and what other types of new special features would you be interested in seeing?

The X-Men franchise, as we have known it since 2000, has come to an end. Fox has released its final installment, Dark Phoenix, which has suffered the worst reception in franchise history. Is the movie really that bad? We discuss in our spoiler review.

Did you like how Captain America looked in the Avengers Video game?

    4:39 Oni Omoregie

Hi, Sean. My question today is about the Fantastic Four. With many rumors going on about the team’s introduction into the MCU, there are several fan castings already out. I like Emily Blunt, but not for Sue and I am the not the greatest fan of Krasinski. With those two taken out of the running, who else would you like to see for the first family of comics and the Thing and Johnny? Apologies if you have already answered this question in depth.

    6:32 Zach D Alston

Do you think they'll treat the X-men like they did the Avengers and give us solo films first before a team up X-men movie?   I think that would be pretty sweet, the only issue I see is how connected they are to each other from the beginning.  Might not be much story to tell before they meet without retconning their history some.

    7:22 Mike Gonyea

Hi Sean, hope you're well. Quick question about Deadpool. I know his movies have had many close references that could tie Deadpool to the MCU proper, while still leaving these references vague enough. My question in particular is the time travel device Cable has is remarkably similar to the devices Tony created in Endgame. Mainly I ask since Deadpool 2 was out before Endgame. That had to be intentional... right? Not saying that it is a direct MCU connection for Deadpool, but the writers seemed to know enough that in hindsight this was a fairly obvious Endgame "spoiler" in a way? Or just coincidence?

    10:05 Paul Shearman

Hey Sean and patrons, hope you’re all having a good week so far.

My question this week relates to how the storylines and characters getting limited series on Disney + are possibly being selected. We’ve heard previously from people like Kevin Feige - and also you’ve had several conversations with us patrons on the subject - about Marvel Studios having a solid practice of meeting with directors and storytellers to get a flavour of what type of characters and storylines they’re potentially interested in bringing to the big screen. It would seem that many of the movies we’ve had so far are borne out of this process, which makes sense as it’s very organic and something that directors get emotionally invested in, but do think the Disney + series are coming from the same type of process, or could they be more ‘predetermined’ (for want of a better word) in that they maybe need to fit better into the wider narrative that the next phase of movies will tell, and so the options on the table over choices for featured characters and storylines could be a little bit narrower for directors?

Thanks as always, and enjoy the rest of your week.

    20:02 Mookie Johnson

Hypothetical post Endgame question: If Black Widow was still alive and Fury died within the next couple years, do you think Maria Hill or Black Widow would  be most likely to  next run the organization formerly known as shield?

    21:07 Mike Gonyea

Spiderman Far From Home question/thought. If the multi-verse is real, could we see Spiderman exploring other areas of the multi-verse in this movie? Could the movie have a cliff hanger ending with Spiderman becoming stuck in an alternate universe at the end of the movie? Would really make the movie title ring true... Pure thought experiments. Take care!

    23:51 Michael Weaselboy

Hey Sean hope you are having a good week. My question is, do you think they will use Mr. Sinister as the first villain of the MCU X-Men?? I think he is a good choice and they have hinted at him in a few of the Fox movies so far. Thoughts??

    26:42 Seth Goslin

I'm still amazed by the brilliance with which Endgame treated the character arcs of the original 6 Avengers. With that in mind, what would you like to see next for Professor Hulk? Also, would you like to see a flashback with Natasha's parents in the Black Widow film? And would you ever want more backstory on who Steve's parents were?

    30:28 Seth Goslin

What do you think about the effects of the vanished on prisons and even The Raft? We've got folks like Vulture, Zemo, Justin Hammer and even Abomination that could have made an escape if enough of the prison staff vanished. The 5 years would potentially be a good time for some villains to go into hiding and regroup. What do you think of this sort of consequence of the snap?

    33:55 Brett Heier

If Wanda develops reality-altering powers, will they have to kill or depower her somehow? Or could she just learn to control it? Thanks for all the work you do!

    36:27 Giuseppe Vicaretti

Hey, Sean. My question for you this week is, after the Major Disappointment that was Dark Phoenix, if we had a chance of a slight do-over of an ending to the franchise, what route would you have wanted to see Fox take to give a proper ending to the franchise?

    39:07 Giuseppe Vicaretti

Another one I have is, with the launch of Disney+ do you see a possibility of not only having the library of the Xmen animated series being added on the docket but do you see this as a possibility of them making a newer Xmen animated series? Is that something you would be interested in?

    41:10 Alex Ward

Do you have any ideas for alternate titles to X-Men? Maybe actually using Hickman's "Powers of X" or "House of X" as titles? I just personally think something like X-Force or X-Factor would be taking away from those two distinct teams, each of which could easily sustain their own franchise!

    43:40 Alex Ward

Do you think there's any significance to Mysterio supposedly being from Captain Britain's universe? Or do you think Marvel Studios just wanted to use a "safe" number (as opposed to something like 1610, which is the Ultimate universe designation)? I can't tell how much thought went into this labeling, especially if Mysterio is just going to pull a Mandarin on us all!

    45:06 Woo S! Kim

Let’s say for instance Marvel Studios wants to do a partnership with Dolby in doing like a Marvel Cinematic Universe marathon, do you believe it would be any easier or more difficult than the one IMAX did last year, why or why not?

    47:13 Woo S! Kim

I don't know what it is, but after Iron Man, I just feel the next significant character death in the MCU is Nick Fury.  Samuel L. Jackson has been playing Nick Fury as long as Robert Downey Junior has played Iron Man and sure Nick Fury has never lead a franchise of his own films, I just really question how much longer Samuel L Jackson wants to be Nick Fury. Thoughts?
