In this episode I am delighted to speak with Guinevere Ellis who is the Founder and CEO of Effortless Global, a platform that helps individuals create everything they want in life - their greatest ambitions, financial freedom, time freedom, and fulfilment - in business, career, and their personal life - in a more effortless way. Since a young age, Guinevere has led her life intuitively, understanding at a deep level how to achieve her goals without being aware of what she was doing. When she discovered that the majority of us are simply not aware of the way to create the lives we truly want, she made the decision to create a system that would enable ALL of us to achieve whatever we want in our lives.
Guinevere is such a dynamic leader and mentor, helping people to turn their lives around in very dramatic ways. But this conversation is not all about success; Guinevere shares too, incidents in her life that led to her developing core beliefs that have held her back in so many ways, just as our own core beliefs limit our success without us even realising it.

What an honour to spend time in conversation with Joan Lane, who is a British film and theatre producer, primarily known for having developed the Academy Award-winning THE KING’S SPEECH, directed by Tom Hooper, starring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter. Joan has never before agreed to a recorded interview, so it was a gem to have the chance to speak with her about her work and her passion for unearthing new potential in both film and television, but also in helping launch the careers of young people who catch her eye. Joan’s company, Wild Thyme Productions, has toured six innovative productions of Shakespeare’s plays in the UK and Germany and mounted world premiere showcases and readings of new plays and musicals in London. This is a wonderful opportunity to ‘meet’ a woman who is private, deeply humble and whose heart is committed to creating great works and supporting new ventures.

In this episode I am in conversation with the deeply compassionate, driven Diedre McFarlane who is the Matron for Critical Care & the Critical Care Outreach Team at The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital which is part of one of the largest Trusts in the country, East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust (EKHUFT).
Deidre has worked in intensive care since 1988 and is passionate about delivering the highest standard of evidence based patient care whilst inspiring & developing staff for the future of not only Critical Care but the NHS. I have watched her commitment not only to her huge team of staff but to her family, and count myself immensely lucky that she is the mother of my equally wonderful daughter-in-law.
Deidre shares with me the inside details of what it has been like running a stressful, high-energy department throughout the pandemic, in a department that has increased tenfold in bed numbers since the arrival of Covid. What has it really been like for her and her team on the frontline of Covid? Join me to hear her fascinating, frank story.

Anna Anderson is filled with love, not just for her family and the hundreds of women she mentors, but for herself. But it has not always been so – and this is where her story is so inspiring. In our conversation Anna shared how she went from being stuck in self-hatred, constantly struggling with her weight, and loathing her body, to finding peace and acceptance while breaking free from the perpetual cycle of eating, guilt and shame. She is now dedicated to guiding other women through the same empowering transformation, teaching an alternative to dieting that includes self-acceptance and love while nurturing the body, mind and soul. Anna is deeply passionate about helping women unlock limiting belief systems to create freedom, joy and abundance. She is the creator of The Nurture and Nourish System™️, through which she has guided thousands of women on a global basis. If you want to know more of her transformational journey, do join us, and indeed read her wonderful, nurturing book, From The Inside Out.

I am honoured to have had the opportunity to spend time with Kate Blewett in the room, who is a multi award-winning documentary producer and director. Kate makes global films focusing on social issues of exploitation, abuse and neglect of men, women and children. Through her heartfelt and powerful films she challenges governments, corporates, organisations and ‘abusers’ across the globe. I have known Kate for many years and am in awe of this woman who is making such change across the globe.
Kate’s films include The Dying Rooms, China’s Stolen Children and Bulgaria’s Forgotten Children. She has filmed in over seventy countries and won 125 awards including 5 Emmy’s and a BAFTA Award and 3 BAFTA nominations in the United Kingdom. She is best kmown for her documentaries on human rights abuses, such as The Dying Rooms, China’s Stolen Children, Bulgaria’s Abandoned Children and Ukraine’s Forgotten Children.
Kate’s work has far-reaching impact. She has enormous heart and a determination to shed light on human exploitation in such a way that she really does change lives. Sharing space with her and discussing her life and work was such an extraordinary opportunity for me, to understand what drives her to put her life and safety on the line, to bring to the world’s attention, some of the very worst atrocities.

It is my pleasure to speak this week Kate Blewett, whom I have revered for many years, for the extraordinary contribution she is making to this world through her work. Kate is a journalist and documentary filmmaker extraordinaire. She investigates situations around the world where men, women and children are hidden away, and exposes those who cause suffering through abuse, neglect or exploitation.
Kate is the winner of numerous awards including a BAFTA and six EMMY’s and, as a Producer/Director, often undercover, she highlights issues and campaigns for the changes needed. Her documentaries are hard-hitting and cutting-edge and change our perspective on the appalling situations she brings to our attention.
In this honest conversation, Kate speaks of her experiences of making such powerful documentaries. I ask her what her ‘elephant in the room’ is and in sharing her answer, Kate opens the doors to a whole new documentary idea!
