There are many people in various positions of authority in our lives on a daily basis. To obey those in authority can be a challenge and yet it can be a blessing as well. What happens when the very gift that is our blessing begins to take precedence over the God who gave the gift? We are called back to a place of obedience.

Who God is has significance. Who God is calls us to live one way or another. So the question we must answer is "Who is God?" As we come to know the living God we begin to see that He is worthy of our praise and worship. And when we see that he lived a life of sacrifice, it should challenge us to live like that because God is worthy.

So many times in conflict we desire for the person who has hurt us to initiate a conversation of reconciliation. Unfortunately that rarely happens and many times, they are not even aware of how they have hurt you. While our initial reaction can send us into conversation with everyone but the offender, we will see that in order to truly handle conflict in a way that leads to resolution and our gain, we must go through the pain of going to the one we are in conflict with.

As we look at the issue of conflict in the home, we see a desire for fairness but a need for forgiveness. While our gut reaction can many times move to us a battle cry of “that’s not fair,” we must first realize that forgiven people forgive.

Conflict. Its something that is normal and universal to us all and in all arenas of life. And yet while we long for resolution we often times prefer not deal with conflict head on. Sometimes we are not real sure where to even begin. Could it be that conflict resolution has more to do with relying on the grace of God than our actual ability to resolve conflict?

Its one thing to be called something and it is another altogether to be it; being requires doing. As followers of Jesus we are called Christians but we are called to be disciples that go and make more disciples.

At some point in all of our lives, we will face challenging times of confusion, hurt, frustration, and anger. Many times our initial reaction is to hole up inside a cave of our own making to feel protected from the valleys of life. However, we will see that instead of retreating from the people of God, it would do us well to turn to fellowship in our times of need because you can’t do life alone.

Often times when we think about giving, we think about money. And while money is one thing that we can give, there is truly so much more that we have to give to others. But sometimes we hold back and grip tightly to the things we call "mine." Walk with us as we learn about the blessings of sowing and reaping as God's people give.

Sometimes in order to get where God wants you to be, you need to let go of something you love. We give up things we love for the things that we love even more.

God made each one of us on purpose with purpose and one aspect of our purpose is to serve. We can volunteer in the church and in our communities as an act of service but to serve is more than to volunteer. A more holistic understanding of what it means to serve will begin to reveal how serving others and serving one another is to be a part of our daily lives.
