Mystique sits down with Kim McPherson. Kim is a romance author, author coach, podcast creator, Clubhouse host and CEO of Best Seller Bound. Kim and I work together helping authors make their books the best they possibly can. We cohost Clubhouse live podcasts every Tuesday to answer questions, teach, inspire and connect with other authors.
Kim can help you learn how to market your work, how to start your book writing process and all the way through publishing it. We discuss going after our dreams in this episode. What it's like chasing the dream of being a best selling author/business owner and dealing with standards, people who think we may be a little crazy and people who like to hate on our dreams.
We are here to inspire you to go after your goals, dreams and live the life you want. Come listen and connect with either of us if you feel we could inspire, help or educate you in any way.

CURVEBALLS! Life is full of them. You can plan and plan and plan and somethings still swing you through a curve going 90 mph. There are still bumps in the road and that doesn't mean you aren't on the right path. This week through me for some curveballs, the last few weeks have. I've had to change my plans for the podcast episodes, I've been swamped and guests I've wanted to have on have been as well. Life has been hectic and ever changing, but that's life. Change and growth and walking forward even when there's a wrench in your perfectly laid plan. That's what we are talking about this week. Staying on your path, not getting discouraged or put off when things don't go completely smooth.
Stay focused on your goals, the value they hold and take a breath. Think of how far you've come, where you are now and look at what the next step is. Find the next available route to your path, or pause at that stop sign for a small rest. I talk about the "picture perfect life" and how yours doesn't have to look like anyone else's. There is no one right way to live, there is no box everyone opens with instructions on how to live life. You have passions, wants, needs and dreams for a reason. They won't always be the same as others, even those closest to you.
Find the value, motivation and drive to live fully for what fuels you. And when needed, let go of the control. All you can control is what you can do. All you can control is the way you think, act and live. You can't control others, can't stop speed bumps and you can't predict a curve in your straight and narrow road. Take them as they come and keep going after the life you want.
The big question. Do I regret my past?
Here I talk about regret, how it used to eat at me and how I finally let it go. Now I see how everything I went through was for a purpose and I'm proud of who I've become. I hope to help inspire someone to know, they can let go of the past and not let it hold them back.
My podcast introduction. Listen to full episodes for more! Stay tuned for episodes every other Friday.
Episode one I will introduce myself, who I am, what I do and why I am doing this podcast. I am a self published author, professional editor, clubhouse talk radio host and professional creative with a story to tell. My start to writing was very unconventional and I hope to use my past and life to inspire others to go after their goals. I hope to inspire others to know they can overcome trauma and extremely difficult times and still be truly happy. I also hope to encourage those who want to chase their "crazy" dreams, to do just that and live life to the fullest. It's too short not to, I think we all have learned that the last year.
This episode is a little longer than the rest will be, just because it is more of an introduction of myself and explanation of this podcast.
This is about the measure of value you hold on yourself, on your life and your needs/wants. This is Measuring Mystique.
