September 30, 2021Dick In a Box Steps (Epi 102)Cheyne and Luis took a break but are back now (again). While on break, they've done some traveling. Luis went to Scottsdale, Arizona with 17 other males for a long weekend. Cheyne went to Texas to further his knowledge with Power Athlete and network with other Coaches. While away from podcasting, Cheyne and Luis have been teaching more classes at Presher Fitness and have started to develop a sort of a following for their classes. August 27, 2021Success Leaves Clues (Epi 101)Cheyne and Luis are making moves! They now have moved their podcast to the Presher breakroom. Does it sound any better? You tell us. Speaking of making moves and moving forward, Boston Dynamic has now developed a robot which can run obstacles and do backflips. Clients are now coming in thinking that if a robot can make it look so easy, they should be able to do it as well, and also back in college they remembered being able to. Nostalgia can be very misleading when the memory you are starting with is a lie. Ego is the enemy and failure will be your destination. Successful clients and people follow the same patterns. Those are the clues that they leave behind if you are willing to see them. Subscribe to the More Than Meatheads YouTube channel Follow on Instagram More_Than_Meatheads...more44minPlay
August 07, 2021Convinction (Epi 100)Cheyne and Luis have done it. They made it to 100 episodes!! Well actually 100 episodes were done about 5 episodes ago if you take into account the episodes that either Luis accidentally deleted or Cheyne and Luis just didn't like. Regardless, staying true to the course and chipping away an episode at a time Cheyne and Luis have now made it to 100 episodes. In this episode Cheyne and Luis have an Olympic update on one of the most endearing post win interviews by Tamyra Mensah-Stock. Tamyra's interview had all the good feels, from the sense of accomplishment to patriotism and all the sincerity possible. Most of what was said was about putting in the hard work no matter what. Cheyne and Luis then discuss the athlete's mindset and the difference between those that thank God and those that don't. Is there a difference in work ethic and outcome? In Current Events, it turns out that kids that workout tend to have an expanded vocabulary. It's science. On a team training level, Cheyne will be an assistant Coach at high schools in order to establish that culture of accountability and proper fundamentals. In our on going segment of "Meme Busters", Cheyne and Luis tackle the meme phrase of "It's not about winning, it's how you play the game" Nope! You play to win. That's it....more44minPlay

But if you're going to play someone's game you have to play by their rules until they change them. Their sandbox, their rules. On the topic of making the rules work for you. Cheyne and Luis discuss Laurel Hubbard, a New Zealand weightlifter, the first openly transgender athlete to compete in the Olympic games. Is it fair for a transgender to compete on the Olympic stage? Dane Miller who's one of the founders of Earth Fed Muscle uploaded a video onto his YouTube Channel Garage Strength, describing why it isn't fair for Laurel Hubbard to compete with other women on the Olympic level. Therefore, the opinions expressed by More Than Meatheads are not necessarily the same or endorsed by Presher Fitness. Cheyne and Luis quickly recap the Bonefrog race discussed in the previous episode and go into the more emotional component and the significance of this race for Luis. Trainers and Coaches are still people and they experience the normal emotional process that other people do. Trainers and Coaches should still want to be challenged and work towards something, which is why Cheyne has signed up for a strength competition. Nice!
