She is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary and received her university education at Canadian Institutions including McGill, McMaster, Queen’s and the University of Toronto. She is advocate for community awareness for children with rheumatic diseases and I had the honour of attending Dr. Johnson’s patient presentations where she had her young patients and their families join us for the afternoon to tell us about their experiences with different rheumatic conditions and the healthcare system. At this presentation she was referred to as a personal angel by each patient and their families. As you know, there are many subspecialties within pediatrics, but after witnessing the way she has transformed the lives of these young children, I am proud to have her for MedicMaps very first episode on pediatrics.
