I met David a few years ago, but reconnected with him last year when he opened his tattoo studio, Davido Ink.  He is a gentle soul, who made the experience of a first tattoo a good  lasting memory. I was interested to hear what makes him tick.

 I met Wilhelm last year at a retreat. We got along well right from  the start and kept in contact during the year. He travels a lot for  work, so it is not always easy. When I asked him to be a guest on Meet  me in the field, he immediately agreed and shared with me what he has  been up to in the periods when he went of the grid, so to speak.

 Today we are doing things a bit differently. My friend Merwe, The  Doer of Things, of our episode of 20 December 2019, now has his own  podcast.  Karlien and I had no contact with each other, until about a year a  two ago, when we somehow connected on social media. We eventually met  last year for the first time. I liked her immediately and since then we  have been building a friendship. She is an Occupational Therapist. Today  we discuss her vocation in the context of her spirituality.  Melanie has gone through many challenges  since she got clean. She did not allow any of this to derail her  spiritual journey though. This girl is made of steel on the outside but  is beautifully soft and squishy on the inside. She is doing a lot of  work on ending the stigma of addiction as well as on educating the  medical fraternity on the disease of addiction. Both things I believe  are essential.  David is a founding member of both The Foundation Clinic and U-Act.  David lives and operates from Johannesburg. It is thanks to Nikki, a  friend of mine and colleague of David, who suggested we get together to  do this recoding. We only managed to get together on a Saturday  afternoon, after David had been training for U-Act the whole day. I  expected him to be exhausted, but his energy and passion were amazing.  We met in a restaurant in Kloof Street, so the sound quality is not up  to scratch, but we had to work with what we had.

I met Helena as a result of the prompting of our mutual friend  Makgati, The Pilgrim in Heels from the episode of 18 April 2019. It was  only during my conversation with Helena that I realised she has an  addiction history and coaches from a place of true compassion. I truly  sense in Helena a deep spirit and am excited to share her journey with  you. You can find Helena here.

I met Fiona because we are both part of a group of healers involved in the Rejuvenate: June Wellness Retreat.  She fascinated me when she mentioned her involvement in what I call  extreme mountain bike racing.
