Ephesians 4:25-5:2 refers to being clothed in the attributes of Christ. The apostle Paul goes on to talk about what does and does not fit with that new wardrobe. Join in worship with us this week as Pastor Jennie explores the spiritual clothing we need to lead Christian lives.

In her message entitled “One,” Pastor Jennie explores the importance of unity as a church body and remarks on our oneness in Christ, as demonstrated in Ephesians 4:1-16. In this scripture, Paul appeals to Christians to live in a way which reflects the grace we’ve been given by God. Doing so brings spiritual maturity and keeps us from being “up and down” in our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Today we are focusing on how to bring peace to the world according to Ephesians 2. We are called to be peacemakers, which isn’t about sitting back and feeling good about ourselves. It is about walking where Christ walked in and among the people.

In today’s message from Mark 5:21-43, Pastor Jennie will look closer at life’s little (or big?) interruptions – the disruption of our best-laid plans. It’s been said that “Interruptions are where the real ministry begins.” When we are out of hope, we fall at the feet of Jesus and are reminded that He has authority over our lives. It’s only when we embrace those interruptions that we experience the Kingdom of God at work in and around us.

In today’s scripture reading, the disciples appear to be overwhelmed by the storm raging around them, and losing faith. “Don’t you care, Lord?” they ask. Yes, the winds are blowing. Yes, the waves are crashing into the boat. Yes, our footing seems lost. But together, we can survive any storm that comes our way. Mark 4: 35-41 tells us how.

Jesus spoke in parables to help us understand how to grow in our faith. In Mark 4:26-34, he tells the parables of the garden and of the mustard seed – the smallest seed on Earth, which grows to be one of the largest plants in the garden. Worship with us as Pastor Jennie explores, “How God’s Garden Grows.”

Did you know that even Jesus experienced family strife? He didn’t fit in. His own family thought he was out of his mind at times. In Mark 3:20-35, Pastor Jennie explores how Jesus responded when his own family made accusations.

Today is Pentecost Sunday, the 50th day after Jesus’ resurrection…when – according to Acts 2:1 - the first believers in Jesus were given the courage to tell others about him. Many consider this annual high holy day as the birthday of the church. Worship leader Grant Butler shares a timely message today: “Who is the Holy Spirit?”
