Mega Dads Live

On the latest episode of Mega Dads Live we discuss an absolute PILE of games including Final Fantasy XVI, Layers of Fear, Pixel Ripped 1978, Street Fighter 6, Diablo IV and so much more!

We're reviewing the all-new time-travelling video game adventure, Pixel Ripped 1978! This love letter to the late 70's and early 80's era of gaming is pulling all the right nostalgia levers, but can playing Atari games still be fun?

On this very Sony edition of MegaDads Checkpoint Evan is joined by Sebastion from the Pro-Nerd Report and Kinnikumao, a streamer and self-described “hype person” to talk about the Playstation Showcase. We foretell the Year Of Mao,  drop some hot katydid facts, and deeply offend Sebastion with our frankly reasonable suggestions regarding the future of the Spider-Man game.

On this special episode of Mega Dads Live Adam is joined by Tim Aulph of the Nintendo Dads, Luke Lohr of Xbox Expansion Pass and Joseph Moran of The Trophy Room to discuss The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Humanity, Ravenlok and they also give their predictions on the Summer 2023 gaming season!

This month on MegaDads Checkpoint Evan is joined by HypeCaster (again) and Peter Riemenschneider, owner of Rent My Arcade and the Two Bit Game Room, a free-play video arcade and retro game lounge where you can play and rent out classic arcade games. We understandably talk mostly about arcade games this time, with some rundowns of The Act, X-Men Arcade and the venerable Disks Of Tron.

Adam and Antonio are here to discuss Redfall, the current state of Xbox, Horizon Burning Shores and Street Fighter 6!

On this episode of MDL Adam is declaring Tchia his current favorite game of 2023 while Antonio is getting down with his dark side with Diablo IV and Resident Evil 4.

This month on MegaDads Checkpoint Evan is joined by HypeCaster (aka Tony) and Howard Hong, Co-Head of Volunteer Staff at 2D-Con, the biggest video game convention in Minnesota (and favorite of the MegaDads crew). Midnight Suns gets a rundown along with Deep Rock Galactic and Ghost Song, which together kind of sounds like the lineup at a 60’s outdoor concert.

On this episode of MDL Adam and Antonio take a deep dive into the world of PSVR2 and explore the disappointing Bioshock wannabe that is Atomic Heart.

This month on MegaDads Checkpoint Evan and Berto are joined by Sebation Mauldin of The ProNerd Report to talk about single player games, gaming birthdays, exploding ping pong tables and the dreaded Diablo Finger. We also get a review of Hi Fi Rush, Titan Quest and Berto’s extended traipse through Final Fantasy 7 Land. You do not want to ride Sephiroth’s Big Sword Coaster.
