1954 SPECIAL MESSAGE

I am never born, I never die. Yet every moment I take birth and undergo death. The countless illusory births and deaths are necessary landmarks in the progression of Man's consciousness to Truth - a prelude to the Real Death and Real Birth. The Real Death is when one dies to self; and the Real Birth is when, dying to self, one is born in God to live forever His Eternal Life consciously.

Although I am present everywhere eternally in My formless Infinite State, from time to timeI take form. And taking of the form and leaving it is termed My physical birth and death. In this sense I was born sixty years ago and will die when My universal work is finished.

Statements and messages can lead us nowhere on the spiritual path. The more you try to understand God, the less you understand Him. How can He who is beyond explanation, be expressed in words? It being infinitely easy has rendered it infinitely difficult.

The secret is you have to become what you already are. You can know Me as I am, as one of you and one in you, only when the veils of separateness are lifted. This can be done if you love Me honestly and wholeheartedly.

Lose yourself in Baba and you will find that you eternally are Baba. There can be no compromise in love. It has either to be full or not at all. I say today with Divine Authority that I am the Ancient One and I am the slave of those who really love Me.

Suffering comes and goes; joy comes and goes; pleasure comes and goes. They will demand your utmost patience, courage, poise, and above all, your love and obedience to Me. Whoever stands for Me stands for the Truth, the Eternal Light, that is forever illuminating the hearts of you all.

Through darkness to light, through suffering to happiness, through chaos to harmony will be the end of the journey. All suffering has an end. Spiritual happiness has no end. It is perennial.

Giving over your goodness, your strength and your weaknesses in entire submission to Me, you will share My Treasure of Happiness.

The incident of birth is common to all life on earth. Unlike other living creatures which are born insignificantly, which live an involuntary life and which die an uncertain death, physical birth of human beings connotes an important and, if they are extra-circumspect about it, perhaps a final stage of their evolutionary progress. Here onwards, they are no longer automatons but masters of their destiny, which they can shape and mold according to will. And this means that human beings, having passed through all the travails of lower evolutionary processes, should insist upon the reward thereof, which is ‘Spiritual Birth’ in this very life, and not rest content with a promise in the hereafter.

Sinner and saint will appear to be waves, differing in size and magnitude, on the surface of the same ocean. A natural outcome of forces in the universe governed by time and causation. The saint has neither the pride of place, nor the sinner the stigma of eternal degradation. Nobody is utterly lost and nobody need despair. The knowledge that all have the same beginning and the same end, with life on earth a happy interlude, will go a long way in making the Brotherhood of Man a reality on earth.

The reason for My coming here to participate personally in your celebration is your love that has irresistibly drawn Me to you. Love is a mighty force. It not only enables one to put the ideal of selfless service into practice, but would transform one into God. With love one can follow any of the Yogas most suitable to his or her temperament. It will enable an aspirant to follow the rigid principles underlying the spiritual path, and where and when necessary, makes him turn his back on worldly pleasures for the sake of union with the Beloved.

Where there is love there is Oneness and there can be no question of any particular religion or caste or system, superiority or inferiority, and touchability or untouchability. But to realize this natural quality permanently, one has to submit to the greatest law of God, which is love. It holds the key to all problems in as much as, under this law, the infinite is realized completely for all time in every walk of life; be it science, art, religion or beauty.

May the world realize this highest aspect of Divinity more and more.

So long as people will continue attending to the empty shows of customs and ceremonials, they will fail to grasp the essence or substance of religion. Though creeds and theologies are many, religion is, strictly speaking, only one. And this one religion includes in its essence sublime character, mental purity, love for God, and longing to realize the truth. In order that this religion may be applicable to all, caste - tyranny and priest-craft must be eradicated root and branch.

#82 UNIVERSAL MESSAGE (CONTINUED)

I repeat, I lay down no precepts. When I release the tide of truth which I have come to give, men’s daily lives will be the living precept. The words I have not spoken will come to life in them.

I veil Myself from man by his own curtain of ignorance and manifest My Glory to a few.

My present Avataric Form is the last Incarnation of this cycle of time, hence My Manifestation will be the greatest. When I break My Silence, the impact of My Love will be universal and all life in creation will know, feel and receive of it. It will help every individual break himself free from his own bondage in his own way. I am the Divine Beloved who loves you more than you can ever love yourself. The breaking of My silence will help you to help yourself in knowing your real Self.

All this world confusion and chaos was inevitable and no one is to blame. What had to happen has happened. And what has to happen will happen. There was and is no way out except through My coming in your midst. I had to come and I have come. I am the Ancient One.

#81 UNIVERSAL MESSAGE

I Have come not to teach but to awaken. Understand, therefore, that I lay down no precepts.

Throughout eternity I have laid down principles and precepts, but mankind has ignored them. Man's inability to live God's words makes the Avatar’s teaching a mockery. Instead of practicing the compassion He taught, man has waged crusades in His name. Instead of living the humility, purity and truth of His words, man has given way to hatred, greed and violence.

Because man has been deaf to the principles and precepts laid down by God in the past, in

this present Avataric form I observe Silence. You have asked for and been given enough words - it is now time to live them. To get nearer and nearer to God you have to get further and further away from ‘I‘, ‘my’, ‘me’ and ‘mine’. You have not to renounce anything but your own self. It is as simple as that, though found to be almost impossible. It is possible for you to renounce your limited self by My Grace. I have come to release that Grace.
