Meidas Canada East Coast correspondent Lisa Blackburn takes us to a little chocolate factory in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, with a story that is anything but little.
Peace by Chocolate, is a Canadian chocolate company founded by the Hadhad family after they were forced to flee Syria and rebuild their lives in Canada. From a family that lost almost everything came a company built on resilience, community, peace — and an unwavering belief in the promise of Canada.
Today, Peace by Chocolate is also showing what it means for Canadians to stand up when we are challenged. As Donald Trump threatens Canadian sovereignty and our economy, this small Nova Scotian business has chosen not to surrender. Instead, they are standing proudly as Canadians.
