The Howards: Greetings,  We are Nicole and Kam Howard. We are an example of love after divorce-this is the second marriage for both of us...Together we have 4 adult children. We live in Maryland, where we love spending time with each other and our family, watching movies, traveling and we like to volunteer giving back to the community by helping those who are less fortunate.  Kam is a school Administrator and Nicole is a Legal Project Specialist.  We also work our Respect My Royalty LLC business together by traveling for speaking engagements, creating the Queen Up! Our society conditions us to always have expectations in our dating interactions, but I want to present (and show) that having expectations are really the death of you experiencing happy and fulfilling relationships.

Leading with your wallet is not the way to go in today's dating society with modern women. That's the old way of doing things. Modern women are looking for more meaningful connections and are capable of showing themselves a good time and maybe even treating men worthy of her time too.

It's easy and even the narrative to point out the angry or strong Black woman with underlying trauma, but the Black traumas our communities have experienced isn't limited to just Black women. We don't hear or talk enough of the constant struggles of Black men and how this impacts their daily lives and relationships with Black women.  At the end of the day more of us, both Black men and women need to tap into more resources, do the work on self, and learn to have better interactions with one another.
