The Ten Commandments – Week 2 A Life of Freedom & Flourishing
What if the Ten Commandments were never meant to be a list of rules—but a vision for human flourishing?
In Part 2 of our series, The Ten Words, we explore Commandments 5–10 and discover that loving our neighbour is far more radical than simply "being nice." These commandments reveal God's heart for relationships, community, truth, faithfulness, generosity, and contentment.
Together we'll discover:
- Why honouring our parents is about giving weight to those who gave us life.
- How Jesus exposes the deeper heart behind "Do not murder."
- Why faithfulness reflects the very character of God.
- What stealing, lying, and coveting reveal about our trust in God.
- How every person bears the image of God—and why that changes everything.
Most importantly, we'll see how Jesus fulfils the law—not by replacing it, but by transforming our hearts through the Holy Spirit so that love becomes our way of life.
