The "harvest" theme is used another way in Scripture...as that day when the Lord harvests the world in judgement. And, because that Final Harvest is so near the work He has called us to do in His field is urgent.

God is everywhere. Everywhere is with God. God is always at work. That means the field is everywhere--all around us. God's harvest is all around us, but before harvest occurs, there's a lot of work to do!

The fields are white unto harvest. The Lord is calling out and gathering up those who come and receive His grace by faith. There is an aspect of true saving faith that comes out in this amazing story about a cripple man who was healed right there in the Temple. It's not popular but it's necessary!

Jesus said the fields are white unto harvest. As we pray, and as the Lord sends us into His harvest, what's the message we bring?

In Matthew 9:37, Jesus said the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. He is calling us to His harvest as He builds His eternal Kingdom. This is the most important thing happening today on planet earth. Are you answering His call?

Understanding what the Word of God is and having a knowledge about what it says is one thing. Having it come alive inside of you and transform your life is another. It is alive and powerful!

What's the source of authority for your life? Upon what do you base all your decisions? God has spoken! He has even caused it to be written down and preserved for you. He has revealed it, inspired it, and now wants to illuminate your heart and mind so you can have abundant life now and eternal life after you die.

It's one thing to say you believe in God and have the appearance of trusting Him. It's another to have genuine faith that produces action--like building the first ever boat in a world where it has never even rained. This is the point where what God is working in us starts working itself out through our lives.

Even though Lot was a good man (even called a righteous man in 2 Pet. 2:7), yet he made some choices that cost him pretty much everything. He wanted to live in the lap of luxury and ease but ended up in a cave on a mountain in a bad situation. Don't be a lot like "Lot!"
