Read the post ‘Who You Are By Where You Are: Mumbai’s Location Politics’ here.

Mumbai’s first underground metro, Line 3 or the Aqua Line opened with a route from Aarey to BKC. I took a joyride to see my city change.

In the 1990s, a word called GOD changed the map of Mumbai and rewrote its story. This is the tale of my city after the Ramjanambhoomi Babri Masjid issue.

I survived the Mumbai floods of 2005. Or did I? I came through a different person even as the city stayed the same.

Mumbai says welcome in many languages. There's one place where you can taste them all. Vileparle says welcome home.

I grew up in a big, bad metro city. I grew up in one of its oldest villages. The Marol of my past was another world.
