But Jesus truly bore the wrath we deserved, dying in our place. The cross was no accident; it was the righteous, sovereign plan of God to save sinners. To embrace the Gospel is to submit to the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word. To reject the Word is to reject Christ. We’ve been bought with a price—our lives are not our own. So let us be men marked by the cross—justified by grace, grounded in truth, and living for the glory of our risen and exalted King.
