Talking about Mental Well-being is somewhat of a taboo still and we dive into this topic with a psychologist to seek his opinion on the matter.

Nizio dos Santos Santiago was born and raised in Antwerp.
Because he is very interested in human functioning and interactions, he decided to study clinical psychology in Ghent, where he currently still lives.
The subjects that interest him are: education, youth, gender, relationships and 'socio-sexuality'.

Joffrey Anane (aka Afro Belg) is a dancer, choreographer, actor and judge on 'Dancing with the Stars'. He is part of the art collective Osei Bantu and creates his own comedy show and web series Afro Belg. Joffrey also networks with artists around the world. His mission? Bringing people and art together.

With our hair comes a sense of pride amongst other feelings and it most of all gives us a sense of identity. We discuss different aspects of taking care of our natural hair and the challenges we face in our day to day life.

About Gold Butter:
Wendy and Callie founded Gold Butter out of their personal passion for curly and coily hair. They have been natural ourselves for over 5 years and have tested many different products, tips and tricks on their own hair. This way, they have been able to build up a lot of expertise over the years. They wanted to tackle the misconceptions about natural hair, specifically the myth that it’s difficult. This is how Gold Butter was born.
Gold Butter is a company that focuses on the care of coily and curly hair. They use organic ingredients that guarantee good care for your hair. Moreover, they want to show that the care of curly and coily hair does not have to be complicated.
Specifically, they are currently developing 2-in-1, a leave-in moisturizer. This moisturize will not only moisturize your hair, but also soften and define your curls.

Wendy:
Wendy is co-founder of Gold Butter and a businesscoach for diverse female entrepreneurs. She’s passionate about natural hair and female entrepreneurship.

Callie:
Callie is a chemist and currently getting her PHD in chemistry. She’s been passionate about natural hair for years now and has always dreamed of using her scientific knowledge to create hair products.

Miranda Moussa is a Regulatory Project Manager within the Global Regulatory Affairs Europe Middle East Africa (GRA EMEA) Emerging Markets team of Janssen Pharmaceutica (Johnson & Johnson). We were ecstatic to have a conversation with her about her experiences as working as a minority and a woman in a typically male dominated field, economic suicide and also about the AALC organisation and its purpose and many more.

In her role, Miranda is responsible for providing project leadership, as well as for coordinating assigned projects and process improvement initiatives across the GRA EMEA Emerging Markets.

Miranda has 11 years’ experience within the pharma, consumer, and medical devices sectors. Experience which started in the Emerging Markets departments of Pfizer and Boehringer Ingelheim. Before joining Johnson & Johnson in 2016, she worked for the European Commission in the Health Technology and Cosmetics Unit and for the European Association for Self-Medication Industry (AESGP), where she represented and conveyed the interest of pharmaceutical consumer companies to EU policymakers.

Most recently, Miranda represented Johnson & Johnson in the MedTech Europe’s software and digital health working group and successfully supported the implementation of the new European Medical Devices Regulation within the Medical Devices business of J&J, particularly within the Cardiovascular Specialty Solutions Group (CSS).

In 2020, Miranda co-established the Belgian Chapter of the Johnson & Johnson African Ancestry Leadership Council (AALC) which mission is to raise awareness on the challenges and opportunities of cultural diversity, connect with internal and external stakeholders, shape the Talent development and attract colleagues/persons of African Descent to ensure the proper representation of the African community within the company.

Miranda holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Rouen (France) and a Master’s degree in International Development and Registration of Medicine and Health Products from Paris-Saclay (France).

She resides in Brussels (Belgium) with her partner Loïc and their pug, Pumba. In her free time, she enjoys decorating and interior designing; as well as going on long walks with her family and friends.

A lifelong student of learning and unlearning, recently started a podcast in 2021 called Menji where she focuses on bringing new stories, voices and perspectives from Afro-Belgian youth to the public.
