Menopausal symptoms can take a long time to resolve, this study was looking at 20% of women having hot flushes 8 year prior to their last menstrual cycle, that is far too long to be suffering, there are things you can do to improve your situation, you are worth it, please don’t put your head in the sand and try to wait it out. There will be summer peaks and winter troughs along the way but as a general rule things are likely to get worse the closer to the last menstrual bleed before they start getting better, unless you take action!

Have you considered the role of hepcidin in regulating your low iron levels?
Hepcidin is the master iron regulating hormone.
Hepcidin binds to and blocks ferroportin, an iron export protein, blocking it from iron and preventing it’s absorption. In simpler terms it changes the amount of available iron receptors in the small intestines that can absorb iron.

Regular physical activity, such as walking, can have several positive effects on overall health, including potential benefits for the menopausal transition.
Why walking? Because walking is free, available everywhere, and has a really low risk of injury. You can do it by yourself, with your dog, or together with other family members or friends.
You can use walking in three different ways. One for the reduction of symptoms you are currently experiencing, 2 for the prevention of future issues, 3 just for fun!
Some of the benefits of walking can occur in as little as 10 minutes, with 1 walk, other benefits take much longer and need a greater frequency.
