Here is a little “life hack”, as kids these days call it, for you!
Starting your day the right way is very important. Whether it is with a good breakfast (or just coffee..because we all know the power of that magic juice), getting plenty of sleep, an exercise routine or just waking up the “right way” to start it off.

  • New Year, New You
New Year's Day. It is an amazing time of excitement and anticipation with a dash of reflection.
Every year it seems to be one day that we all anticipate a lot. It is the one day that we reflect back on what the past has helped us with as well optimistically looking forward to what the new year will present to us.
In a sense it is almost a freeing day where the world seems like a canvas and our ideas are the paint.
Why is that day so magical? Why is that day one where we appreciate the journeys of the previous year while accepting the hard times of that year presented us with. We set forth with these resolutions of what we're going to do the upcoming year even if we didn't nail all the resolutions from the last year.

I want you to be obsessive. To do that let's really look at what it means.

  • Intentions
How many times have you done something with the best of intentions only for it to blow up in your face? I mean I truly believe that most people have the best of intentions. I mean, don't get me wrong, there are people out there who intend ill will but I think the majority of people have good intentions. The thing that I seem to struggle with is no matter how good of intentions I may have when I go to communicate that it doesn't always come out the way I assumed it to. One of my personal struggles is to make sure that my intentions are received in the way that I mean them. That may seem a bit confusing so let me break it down for you.

  • Shutup Stupid
Did you know that scientists estimate we have between 50 and 70,000 thoughts per day. That is a form of self talk. Obviously we don’t recognize every thought that enters the mind. That subconscious mind is a talented little thing.

  • Five Cornerstones of Mental Mastery - Part 4 - Patience
What is the best way to learn patience? Start with yourself. Are you willing to be patient with yourself. Allow yourself the room to grow, succeed, win and lose.   When you start to become more patient with yourself, you then will start to develop the skills to be more patient with others.

  • Five Cornerstones of Mental Mastery - Part 3 - Preparation
Ben Franklin said, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”. I cannot come up with a more valid and powerful statement to express the control preparation, or lack thereof, can have on our lives.   Preparation can be the foundation of your future success or the bain of your existence. You really have to look at what preparation truly means, to you, as an individual. We all have our own definitions based on the way we were raised, our personalities and our priorities.

  • Running in Puddles
When it rains outside or has rained do you often find yourself avoiding walking through or running through the puddles? Why is that? I think it's because wet shoes and socks are just plain uncomfortable. Most of the time being uncomfortable is not a ton of fun, am I right?

  • Dirty Little Lies
More often than not, we just lie to ourselves. It is very easy to tell yourself a little white lie just a few times and then you actually start to believe it. Once you believe it you start to become it.
When you become it, it will generate unhappiness. That unhappiness then leads you to lie to yourself about other things. It is a crazy vicious cycle that is very hard to break
