Are you justified in God's eyes? Does God count you just and righteous and holy in His sight? Or, are you guilty and condemned, headed for eternal damnation because of your sins? See what Jesus has to say about this in His parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector — Luke 18:9-14.

Jesus wept over Jerusalem and the coming judgment of God because of the people's unbelief. Do you make Jesus weep over you? Consider this brief message from Luke 19:41-44.

What do we learn from the unjust steward? What is Jesus teaching us with this parable?

With this parable, Jesus instructs us concerning wise use of the money and earthly goods that are entrusted to us by God. While Jesus does not commend the wickedness of the unjust steward, He does hold up the wisdom of this unjust steward as an example for us.

Jesus provided salvation for us in His atoning sacrifice on the cross and, through the faithful preaching and teaching of His Word, calls us to trust in Him, but He warns us of false prophets who would mislead us into unbelief and sin and rob us of the salvation He offers and gives to us.

What a terrible thing to die in your sins — to die and stand before the holy Judge of all, still bearing the uncleanness and guilt of your sins! Yet, this is what will soon happen to many in our day.

Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:17-20), pointed out that our righteousness is not good enough, we don't measure up! How can we be righteous in God's eyes?

How do we become fishers of men? Where do we let down our nets? What is the message we are to use to catch the souls of men for Jesus?

How important are lost souls to you? Would God have you avoid lost sinners or reach out to them with the Word of God that they too might repent of their sins and look to Christ Jesus and His cross for mercy and forgiveness? Consider the lesson Jesus teaches with the parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin.

Luke 14:16-24 — The banquet is ready; Christ made atonement for all sin; the invitation is out to "come, for all things are now ready." Will you come to Christ in faith or make excuses not to come and receive the forgiveness and life He won for you? The reference to Ephesians 7 is to Ephesians 1:7.
