There's an old Greek saying; "You will break the bow if you keep it always bent."

What happens when we don't care for ourselves? What happens when we fill every moment with "stuff"?

Aren't we supposed to always be doing something "productive" and have some tangible end result?

     Let's learn from Elijah what happens when we don't make space and care for ourselves.

          God invites us to create empty space for Him alone to fill. What does that look like?

God does not call us to live "timid, grave-tending" lives. Jesus came, lived, died, and rose again so that we might have the Full Life!

A Full Life is a life lived with adventurous expectation of what God HAS done in the past, IS doing right now, and WILL do in the future. A Full Life is a life of faith...A life of confident assurance in who God is and that He is up to great things.

    Where do we turn?

        What brings fulfillment?

            Where do we find hope, peace, joy...?

In 1 Kings 18, we find a great example of where we find answers to these questions.

What expectations do we have of Jesus and this life we are called to live? How do our expectations affect our perceptions and perspectives?
