How do we work toward a second simplicity in our lives? It used to be so simple when we were babies, but life has a way of getting very complicated and stressful. We can't be babies forever, of course, but we also don't have to get so mixed up that we lose track of what's important. So let's find some ways to move toward a second simplicity.

This message is about how sometimes, though the Lord is present, we feel like He is absent. Most of the time we feel that way because of what is going on in our own life. Maybe we are in pain, and hoping for a miracle to happen, and we are not seeing anything yet. Maybe we are ill and we wonder why the Lord didn't prevent this from happening to us. Maybe we are fighting a huge battle and we feel like the Lord is totally absent. And the list goes on! Yet we are reminded in the Word of God that we are not alone. In fact the Lord has always been there, and He will always be there for us. So why don't we feel His presence in those moments? Listen to this message and find answers.

When we see bad things happening, sometimes we might want to ask, "Where is God?" During our spiritual tests, we are apparently left completely alone, although in fact we are not alone--at those times God is most intimately present at our deepest level giving us support.

When you believe these things about Him you are at peace, since you will fear nothing and no anxiety about things to come will disturb you. How far you attain this state depends on how far you attain love to the Lord (quotation from the book Secrets of Heaven, number 8455)
