How would the Apostle Paul speak to a group of people who belittle facts and logic; who usurp faith and logic with feelings and emotions? Scripture has an answer, which just so happens to agree with (of all people), Aristotle.

In September of 2011 our church set a course which incorporated three goals: 1) interpret scripture according to God's rules for Bible study 2) maintain a multi-generational perspective 3) one another one another (inside & outside the church) Today, we reckoned our current position on that trek.

Born again children of God have a sin nature they must fight every day, and sometimes we lose. Recognize the battle, prepare thyself for the battle, and engage.

Gideon, Barak, Samson, and Jephthah led very diverse spiritual lives; yet they were all listed in Hebrews 11 and glory bound. Grace plus nothing [which includes double imputation] is the only plan of salvation that gets all four to heaven.

God's word is inspired and preserved. It is also our only authority, our only curriculum, and the standard we use to measure all teaching. And on top of that, Satan hates it and men are always adding to it.

Two faith "types": 1) a portion of which is planted in the child of God at regeneration, and 2) a portion of faith which is exercised after regeneration. From "type 1" faith which is planted to "type 2" faith which is grown.

Some faith is kept, other faith is cast away. Some faith is grounded, other faith is made shipwreck. Some faith justifies, other faith is vain and void. Is there such a thing as passing faith? Is there such a thing as minimum faith? This message will attempt to corral faith ... if such a thing is even possible.

The dumb speak. Not really! A dumb man is healed, then he speaks. The blind see. Not really! A blind man is healed, then he sees. The same cause and effect relationship happens whether the malady is physical or spiritual. This effort addresses the doctrine of total depravity from a different perspective. God came down from heaven and took on the form of man. For 33+ years Jesus (100% God, 100% man) walked this planet. The Godman caused people to wonder ... as an infant, a child, and an adult.
