Messages - Cuyahoga Valley Church

Especially during the hard places in life, we long for rest and relief. Today's reading in Ruth 3:1-18 shows us that there is another gift from God that can bring life and joy to our weary souls - redemption. Join us with Lead Pastor Chad Allen as we work through the big idea that God has provided us with a Redeemer, it's just up to us to take that step in our faith and receive the redemption He offers.

Join us as Worship Leader Kevin Lorow teaches through Ruth 3.

The story of Ruth shows us so much of who God is and what His generosity and provision is like. It's multi-faceted, providing for us through people, circumstances, our society, and even God's own steadfast mercy. Join us today as Campus Pastor Josh Stone teaches on Ruth 2:1-23 and the abundant generosity of God.

Never have Old Testament laws been so encouraging as a 21st century reader! Join us in Ruth 2 this week as CVCYouth Pastor Joe Valenti helps us see how even this short OT book foreshadows the merciful and loving ways in which Jesus embraces us as His own.

There's a fancy church word you may have heard before - covenant. God makes a lot of those with humanity and sometimes even with Himself on our behalf! While it may seem like a simple promise, covenants actually go much deeper. It's a promise where even if one of the people involved doesn't hold up their end of the deal, the other person will continue their faithfulness to the agreement. Humans struggle to do that on our best of days, which is where God's steadfast love comes to the rescue.

Join us today as we continue exploring the story of Ruth, Naomi, Boaz, and how God's heart for humanity is on display!

Founding Pastor of CVC, Rick Duncan, teaches on Ruth 1:19-22. Often times God uses the bitter in our lives to make the sweet even sweeter, often in this life and especially in the life to come.

Sometimes it seems like you encounter nothing but setback after setback in life. Where is God and what is He up to? That's what Naomi and Ruth encounter throughout the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament, until they meet Boaz. Join us as Lead Pastor Chad Allen kicks off our newest series, Ruth: Restoration Road.

Whether you follow Jesus as the Lord and forgiver of your life or not, there is a battle going on just out of sight. The Apostle Paul, in metaphorical terms, explains to us the armor of God. God has given all those who follow Him weapons to engage in a war that He has already won and will finish in the final days. Until then, the believers in Jesus must fight in Christ's name against those spiritual forces. Of those weapons on hand, prayer is essential. Join us today as CVC Pastor of Men's Ministry, Dale Piscura, guides us through staying strengthened and connected with Christ in prayer.
