Jesus Christ corroborates these messages in his New Testament teachings found in Matthew 6 and 8 and Luke 11 and 12. Christ teaches us that it is foolish to build up treasures here on this earth that will be gone tomorrow when compared to the eternal heavenly treasures we gain from following Jesus.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen concludes the "I Am" teaching series on Easter this year as he shares from John 11:25-26 where Jesus refers to Himself at the Resurrection and the Life. Belief in Jesus gives you new life now and eternal life later. Jesus gives a foretaste of resurrection power by raising Lazarus from the grave so that others will believe, even in the face of doubt, and questioning the power or care of Jesus. The resurrection of Jesus Christ was His victory dance over death and sin. Those who believe in Jesus as the resurrection and the life not only secure their future resurrection in the Lord to eternal life but also experience walking in resurrection power now until that day. We look forward to our resurrection to a perfect eternity - and new life living now.

Pastor Josh continues the "I Am" series as he shows us that Jesus is the only genuine Vine. Attaching yourself to anything else doesn't bring what you ultimately want: joy. It is only through your abiding in the True Vine that you can achieve that joy

Pastor Chad looks today at John 14:1-6 at Jesus referring to Himself as the the Way, the Truth and the Life. Those who are anchored to Christ through their exclusive belief in Him as Savior have an everlasting hope. During a moment of confusion and fear Jesus comforted His disciples with the claim that He was the Way, the Truth and the Life. This gave His disciples hope for the difficult days ahead of them. People are confused and fearful in the difficult days we experience today. Proclaiming Jesus as the only way to God in an increasingly "post-truth" culture where people are trying to make their way, define their truth and build their self-fulfilling life, can be difficult. However, this proclamation about Jesus offers the comfort and hope people so desperately need.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen continues in the "I Am" series reviewing the statements of Jesus about Himself. Pastor Chad looks today at John 10:11-18 at Jesus referring to Himself as the Good Shepherd. Every person should follow Jesus because His care is immeasurable. In John 10, Jesus contrasts Himself as the Good Shepherd versus the Pharisaical hired hands, previously referred to as strangers, thieves and robbers. No religious system, human practice, or earthly pursuit will provide the sense of care like knowing and following the intimate, protective, sacrificial, and supernatural Good Shepherd Jesus Christ. The care of Jesus is immeasurable, and the Shepherd's care makes the sheep certain.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen takes us into the third week of the "I Am" teaching series leading up to Easter. Pastor Chad will look at John 10:7-10, as he shows us that Jesus uses a metaphor when He says "I am the gate/door." He is saying that He is the only access to God's fold; He is the gate that keeps sheep in and those who would do them harm out. Anyone else trying to find another way into the fold was a thief or robber intending to harm the sheep. Jesus brings eternal life to those in His fold, and He brings abundant life while they are in the field. Without Jesus, there is no eternal or fulfilling life. To know Jesus means to know eternal life and abundant life.

Founding Pastor Rick Duncan guides us into week two of the "I Am..." teaching series leading to Easter. Pastor Rick will look at John 8:1-12 as He shows how Jesus referred to Himself as "the Light of the world." Pastor Rick will further show us that living in the Light is no excuse to sin freely, but rather it is a reason to serve fully.

Pastor Chad will look at Jesus' statement from John 6:22-69 where He states that He is "the Bread of Life." Pastor Chad will show us that by hearing that Jesus is the bread of life, the only One who gives permanent and eternal satisfaction, we at CVC are called to invite those who are religious to believe and receive while we invite those who are faithful to be grateful and proclaim.
