At Christmas we celebrate the gift of God’s Son. Jesus is our True Prophet, our Great High Priest and our Eternal King. As our Eternal King, we are to serve him.

We are witnesses to Jesus Christ and his gospel.

The Lord Jesus appears to Peter and the disciples, proving his bodily resurrection and affirming that suffering comes before glory.

Christ is lead to Calvary where he will hang on the cross and die for the sins of his people. He will suffer beatings and torture, shame and contempt, and to a greater extent the wrath of God for our sins. He is driven all the while by great love for his people that will bring about the forgiveness their sins, and give them access to God.

All the evil that sinful men can do will not stop the redeeming power of God in Christ.
