What is prophecy, how does it operate, and what is its purpose in the bible? Prophecy warns and guides the people of God, words from a personal God revealed to humans, prophets.

Paul as an unbeliever was persecuting Christians, vehemently oppositing all things and everyone related to Jesus. We should expect to be persecuted as a priviledge and blessing from God, responding in love, just for believing in Christ. We need to stand firm in the faith, demonstrating to unbelievers and principalities our love for God.

Baptism is not merit, it is like a wedding ring in it symbolizes our relationship with the lord in its symbolism of the trinity, union with Christ, Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.

In the NT the resurrection is the primary event presented in gospel preaching. Jesus of Nazareth came in fulfillment of 4000 years of prophecy, the whole story of the Old Testament including the resurrection.
