God has placed us in the community of the church to comfort one another and share the burdens of life and mission together.

When life's circumstances heighten our fear, worry, and anxiety, we often turn to the refuge of idols. Instead, we must run to God with trust and confidence for He hears, leads, protects, and preserves His people.

When we find ourselves worried and fearful we tend to run to something to fix us and save us. The question for us all is this: Where do we run? The Scriptures are clear that God is a present help in time of trouble but so often we run to lesser things, what the Bible call idols, instead of the one who can save.

How do we engage with God when the events, people and circumstances of the day bring anxious care to the soul.

Jesus gives us soothing commands about worry

The battle for joy, hope and courage is fought on these grounds: What do I believe about GOD? What do I believe about God’s heart towards to me? What do I believe about God’s relationship with me? What do I believe about the future? These are ultimate things.
