Messiah Matters

This week we look at historical evidence for the Messiah and the suggestion that believers can not produce any more evidence for Yeshua than Judaism can produce for the stories of the Mishnah. We then move to several emails that reflect on Torah practice in our modern times.

There is a teaching within the Hebrew Roots movement that says God divorced Israel and the only way they could come back together is if God died. This is based on Deut. 24. But is this a theologically sound doctrine? This and much more is discussed on this weeks show.

This week we look at an excellent question by a long time listener that raises the question, “Did the Messiah die for the whole world?” We then move to a discussion on 1John 2:27 and the claim by some that we no longer need teachers, but that everything we need to know is given through the Spirit of God.

This week we discuss Hanukkah and the time that we have just spent reflecting on the miracle recounted in 1Macc. Then we turn to some questions about giving unkosher food to the stranger (Deut. 14:21) and to the idea of allowing disobedience to reveal His mercy (Romans 11:32).
