What is it that Yahweh is expecting of you? Well, you may say, nothing – because Jesus has done it all for us. Is this true? Why or why not?

Beginning this episode in Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Rabbi Steve Berkson presents what it is that Yahweh is expecting of all who choose to walk in covenant with Him.

Then going backward a couple of books Rabbi Berkson makes an in-depth dissertation of the Ten Commandments from Exodus chapter 20.

The reason we exist is to become more like our big brother, Messiah Yeshua. Living our lives according to the two great commandments, love your Elohim and love each other.

Continuing in 1 John chapter 3, Rabbi Berkson starts in verse 11 and gives the example of Cain and how he could not control his own emotions which ended up in murdering his own brother Abel. We who are “in Covenant” are expected to treat our fellows also in Covenant with much humility and love, with self-control which is a fruit of the Spirit. Those that do not love their brother does not have everlasting life in them.
