What is “tithing”? What does the word ‘tithe’ even mean? What are we supposed to “tithe”? Who gets this “tithe”?
Now, before you get the idea that this teaching is a covert fundraising effort, know that this teaching is for you, for your benefit, and for you to know that the Creator has your good in mind when he instructs you to give, what you should give and to whom you should give.
Rabbi Steve Berkson exhorts us that all obedience brings blessing. When you are obedient in your giving practices–in the same way gravity works–blessings will come to you. You should appreciate the blessings and never forget from whom they come.

Why endure? One reason is that through the enduring process, you have the opportunity to walk as the Messiah Yeshua walked. Isn’t that something that is required of us?
To continue showing us where endurance is talked about, Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us to Luke 21 where in verse 19 we see Yeshua telling His disciples that they will “possess your lives by your endurance!” Then Rabbi Steve moves into “how do we endure?” Taking us to Matthew 23 he explains the Parable of the Sower from the perspective of endurance.
In this teaching Rabbi Steve begins the next section of James 1:12, ‘When He Has Been Proved’.

Continuing in the theme of “Why Endure?”, Rabbi Steve Berkson ponders if a human being can live without limitations. If we can do all things through Messiah who strengthens us, where are the limitations? Who imposed them?
Rabbi Steve takes us first to James 5 where we see the duty we have been given to “establish your heart” in order to patiently endure and wait for the plan of Yahweh to play out.
In James 1 we see that the writer has completely lost his mind when he says to “count it all joy when you fall into various trials”. How can anyone do that? But going on he clarifies by saying that you should know that the proving of your belief works endurance. So, it is the trial that gives opportunity to show Yahweh where you stand, and endure even though you may be mistreated unfairly or unjustly.

Yeshua said to his disciples, “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.” What? So, saying the “sinner’s prayer” or taking the “Romans Road”, isn’t that how “salvation” is achieved? What does Yeshua mean by “endured to the end”? What end? Endure what?
