In this teaching Rabbi Steve goes through Ya’akov (James) 4 examining what this teacher/leader of the twelve tribes of Israel felt was critical to their individual growth and the growth of the Body of Messiah.
What is the “wants/needs disconnect”? What is the first step in submitting to Yahweh and His anointed/appointed ones? Because Yeshua said there is no one ‘good’ except The Father, should we use the term ‘good’, ever? How does that relate to “call no man Rabbi” or “father”?
When applying the scripture to our lives there are two questions to ask ourselves, “What does this look like?” and “Am I actually doing it?”
What does it mean to love Him with all your heart? What does it mean to lay the Word up in your heart? What does it mean to be tested to prove what is in your heart? What does it mean to serve Him with all your heart?
This teaching is one you will want to revisit again and again, because if the heart is right, you’ll want to figure out the rest of it. The heart is the center point of everything you do.

Completing the Book of Hebrews, Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us to Hebrews 13:7 where he once again points out the author’s emphasis on the need for us to be lead by one who is anointed and appointed; one who is leading by example. We must be careful of those teachers who bring “various and strange teachings” which do not benefit anyone, but rather, toss the hearers around like a ball on the ocean.
Then we go into the letter from James (Ya’akov) which is intended for the twelve tribes and those who would be grafted in. How can you be joyful in a trial? How do you know if you are going through a trial? What does the term ‘trial’ mean? How do you get wisdom? What does “double-minded” mean? Does HaSatan (the devil) cause all bad things to happen to you? Does YHVH ever change?
This teaching is packed with amazing insight, knowledge and wisdom from the Holy Spirit through Rabbi Steve. You’ll want to listen through it more than once to get it all. This is the stuff your spirit craves, so it can grow.

Rabbi Steve Berkson continues in the epistle to the Hebrews, chapter four, bringing a recipe for success which is the Word that we have heard, the Good News, mixed with belief (faith) produces an entrance into the “rest” that is the Kingdom of Elohim (Hebrews 4:2). The result of following this recipe for success gives the doer something that most of this world does not have which is hope. Hope in something that is beyond this present life; the future Kingdom of Elohim.
