The recently passed Rush Limbaugh, partisan right radio host, symbolized a fork in the road for Republican media strategy. This has fractured the right, with some such as Ben Shapiro claiming that Limbaugh disrupted a media monopoly, while others such as Ross Douthat finding that he created a "dream palace" driving an insular right-wing. As always, there are many layers deeper, including an asymmetric chicken game between the left and the right when engaging in corruption.
