For any survivor of a stroke, the rehabilitative process can be very challenging, and regaining the ability to simply walk again can take a huge amount of commitment. Developing new brain circuits and quickening the heart rate are the end goal of getting patients to walk again after a stroke. From the studies taken, we see that survivors who walk their way through rehab, have benefited more than other types of exercise.
