Episode 87 is a mashup of recordings from the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia and a new episode recorded at the hotel in Philly. Presented in chronological order the episode starts with a road recording and Friday postmortem before moving into the episode proper and then ending with interviews and more fest coverage. This episode also features the first recording of all six Metalheads in the same place at the same time - The Great Convergence of 2019. In this episode Jay, John BT and Sergiy head to Los Angeles for the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles. The guys provide fest commentary and Jay gets interviews with Khemmis, Pig Destroyer Skeletal Remains and others. Jay learns the value of a windscreen; sorry about the sound issues.

In Episode 82 we are joined by Ben and Mike from Glacial Tomb who join us to discuss their self-titled debut album. After an epic interview, Ben stuck around for the rest of the episode and helped out with News, New Releases, What We’ve Been Listening To and our Top 10 Hard Rock Bands of the 70s. George takes on Queen in Skullcrushers.

In Episode 81 we are joined by John Burkholder-Travis, friend of the podcast. We discuss both the upcoming L.A. and Philadelphia versions of the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest before getting into all the usual yummy metal goodness: News, New Releases and What We’ve Been Listening To. John B-T chose our list for the episode, our Top 5 Albums of the Last 5 Years, and also took a turn in the Skullcrusher seat to take on questions about Iron Maiden.

There and Back Again: A Thrawsunjourney. In this episode George travels up to Canada to Fredericton, New Brunswick to sit around a campfire with Joel Violette of Thrawsunblat and discuss the new album, Great Brunswick Forest. After the interview, Joel picks up a guitar and plays an acoustic campfire set. One of the songs has never been played live before. We set up a mic on the campfire to try to capture the campfire feel, so put on a pair of headphones to immerse yourself in the experience.
