This special edition from the Wilbur Suhre Memorial at Oak Brook Golf Club begins with the proprietors, Larry and Mike Suhre. Larry explains the detailed history of the now-legendary course beginning with an offer from his father, Wilbur. Mike shares his memories growing up on the family course, and he talks about raising his family on the course making 4 generations of Suhres at Oak Brook. The two also provide the history of the Wilbur Suhre Memorial. The next guests are long-time Oak Brook fanatics and tournament participants Pat Trusty and Aaron Stack. The two explain why they travel a long way to participate in the event, and they share their history with the club. Finally, Emmy-winning Fox Sports producer John Reynolds and his playing partner, John Kelly, the voice of the St. Louis Blues, explain how, although they've played courses around the world, they LOVE to play the WSM at Oak Brook! At the end Mr. Kelly even calls a "goal" set up by host, David Lipe.

A baseball special! Jim Thompson and Scott Warren, the hosts of the 618 High School Huddle podcast, kick off the show. Jeb Blasingame is in studio to recognize Thompson as the Keller Williams Marquee Coach of the Month for his decades of service to baseball, especially the Mon Clair League where Thompson manages the Belleville Rockies. Next up, McGivney baseball coach Chris Erwin is in the studio with star player Jackson Rodgers. The two discuss the Griffins' great season and program success. Rodgers talks about playing basketball and baseball at McGivney, and Erwin describes the keys to building a winning program. Wrapping up the show, state champion coach Andy Skaer of Gibault baseball brings with him Kamron Hanvey, another two-sport star. Skaer gives insight into his team's historic season and his player-led coaching style; Hanvey talks about winning state in basketball, including his 3-pointer, which sent his team into the finals, and he speaks about continuing his career at Blackburn.

Keith Schmidt is passionate about LAX and the club he helps direct, Southern Illinois LAX. Schmidt details the evolution of his club, and he provides insight into the beginnings of his passion. Next, Chad Opel is in the studio to present the latest Charitable Champion, Brady Smallie of Granite City HS. Smallie describes earning letters in SIX different sports at GCHS, and he is joined in the studio by his father, Scott, the Head Baseball Coach for the Warriors. Coach Smallie discusses coaching his son, and Brady talks about the noble charity he chose to support, which helps foster dogs with disabilities. Finally, Triad Boys Tennis Coach Jack Carmody is back again to accept the MESPY for 1A Team of the Year. Carmody is joined by 1A Singles Player of the Year, Jake Stewart, his top player for the second year in a row. Carmody describes the rigors of playing #1 singles, and Stewart talks about playing FOUR sports at Triad and his tennis-playing family.

Triad's boys tennis doubles team of Dillon Henderson and Marc Froidcouer earned the MESPY of 1A doubles team of the year. The two seniors kick off the show and share their memories of the team's memorable season, which included reaching the quarterfinals at state. Next, Amy Boscolo will begin her career as the Athletic Director at Edwardsville HS; she shares her excitement about her new position and discusses what the EHS athletic community should expect from her. Then, Triad Baseball Head Coach Jesse Bugger is in the studio with star centerfielder/pitcher Brady Coon. The Knights earned the MESPY for 3A Team of the Year, and Coach Bugger discusses the culture of winning at Triad; Coon describes how he like to "play fast and aggressively," and he talks about his future in baseball. Finally, the MESPY winners for Boys Volleyball are in the studio: Coach Amy Sheehan of O'Fallon THS is joined by her son, Camryn, and the two discuss the Panthers' history-making season. Camryn, MESPY winner for Boys Volleyball Player of the Year and a 1st-Team All-State Selection, talks about knowing his teammates "since kindergarten," and he shares his plan to continue his career at McKendree next year.

Our Show of Champions begins with Jim Cromer, who has championed the effort to build the "Sports Barn," the new home of the Gators Baseball Academy in Wood River. Cromer is excited to share the news regarding the inherent possibilities for the local sports landscape with the addition of this new facility. Next, 3A Girls Soccer State Champions, the O'Fallon Panthers, are represented in the studio with Head Coach Justin Judiscak, goalie Kendall Joggerst, and MESPY Winner for Player of the Year, Kiley McMinn. The trio talks about the culture of the program and how the Panthers improved throughout the season to bring the 'ship. In the third slot, Julie Fleck of the Front Office Fiduciary Network presents East Alton Wood River 3-sport athlete Seth Slayden with the latest Charitable Champion Award. Slayden reviews his "busy" year at EAWR which included success in and out of the classroom, and he explains how his $500 donation to charity will help kids in the area sleep better. Finally, Andrew Hendrickson is back to discuss the Edwardsville Tigers 4A Championship season; he is joined by left-handed star pitcher Logan Geggus, who talks about his style of pitching and why he thinks Hendrickson was the "MVP." The duo also share their plans for next season, and they discuss the greatness of Coach Tim Funkhouser.

In this Father's Day Special Edition, we sit down with 4 fathers who have a close sports relationship with their sons. First, Madison HS Track Coach Tavares Young brings his 8-year old son Tylor in the studio. Tylor talks about his favorite pro athletes and all the sports he plays; dad talks about his son's natural talent and the great things going on in Madison. Next, Civic Memorial Head Softball Coach Luke Angelo is in studio to discuss coaching with his father Steve. The Angelos discuss their special bond and shared sports memories. In the third slot Chris Prakit, who is originally from Thailand, and is a former Muay Thai fighter, brings along his son Thai, who recently had his first Muay Thai fight. Thai, also a golfer at McKendree, describes the similarities and differences between his two sports, and his dad talks about which sport makes him more nervous when he watches his son. Finally, Roxana HS Athletic Director and Basketball Coach Mark Briggs is joined by son Aidan, a rising senior at RHS. Coach Briggs shares what he has learned about coaching one's own child, and Aidan talks about what he's looking forward to this season, and he imparts advice to other kids who may be coached by a parent someday.

The show kicks off with MESPY Winners from Edwardsville High School tennis players Jesse Hattrup and Colton Hulme, who discuss playing against each other and their fond memories of the season. Next up, Edwardsville HS Track and Field Assistant Coach Carry Bailey is in the studio to to talk about the success that his jumpers had at state including 1st and 3rd place overall in triple jump. Finally, Althoff Track Coach Mike Sanders is back to discuss his recent retirement from the sport and his upcoming move to Florida. Sanders brings with him boys MVP Ray Clemons and girls MVP Eris Nelson. Nelson and Clemons profess their love the sport and how they deal with pain of distance running.

Roxana Girls Soccer Coach Lori Yates is the Keller Williams Marquis, Blasingame Group Coach of the Month. Coach Yates discusses coaching at Roxana and the experience she draws upon from her playing days for Coach Baker at Granite City. She is joined by super goal scorer Kendall Kamp, who discusses breaking the single season scoring record at Roxana and her commitment to play at Bellarmine next fall. Next, Red Bud HS Softball Coach Brian Boeving is in the studio to talk about his team's conference championship winning season and how much he is enjoying coaching at RBHS. Boeving is joined by star catcher Lyla Hess, who shares her love for the sport, especially hitting. Hitting cleanup, Jerry Aplin, the top singles player in the Belleville West tennis lineup, talks about winning the Southwestern Conference Coaches Association award for Sportsmanship and how he got into the sport. And, Aplin discusses winning state in the Comedic Duet Competition.
