We keep talking XC, as Civic Memorial Coach Jake Peal is back again to accept the MESPY for 2A Boys Team of the Year. Peal is joined by 2A Runner of the Year MESPY Winner, Max Weber. Last, Dr. Athur Langston joins the show to recognize our latest Integrity Spine and Joint Center Team of the Month: The Triad Knights state-qualifying football team. The Knights are represented by first-year coach Calvin Potthast and MESPY winner for 5A Football Player of the Year, All-state offensive lineman, Lane Mahnesmith. Mahnesmith discusses his future at Northern IL University, and Potthast talks about coaching the 6' 7" phenom.

Chad Opel is in the studio to present the latest Charitable Champion, Evan Wells of Roxana High School. Wells, fresh off the Shells' semi-final football finish, shares his passion for sports and academics. He talks about the unselfishness of the team, his lofty professional goals, and the motivation behind his success on the field and in the classroom. Next, Principia College Women's Tennis Coach Shannon Carney is the "greatest" tennis player in the Metro East for her age division, and she is in the studio to talk about winning national championships as a player, and she shares her love for her team and her school. She tells local tennis girls why they should consider Principia after describing her personal tennis journey, which began in SoCal including time on the team at UCLA. Last up, McGivney Girls Golf Coach Steve Finn is in the studio to discuss the Griffin's excellent season, as he accepts the MESPY for 1A Team of the Year. The Highland Bulldogs Girls Tennis Team is in the studio to kick off show 42! Coach Zach Plocher talks about his team's awesome MESPY-winning season, which included a conference co-championship and a Sectional Championship. He is joined by All-State singles player Ruthie Manor, and 1A MESPY winning Doubles Team of the Year Josie Wojcikiewicz and Sophia Fleming. The trio discuss playing for Coach Plocher and they share their favorite memories from the season. The team is represented in the studio by Coach Tschudy and runners Willow Jackson, Alli Merrick, and Mackenna Kerpan. Next up, Allie Jennings of Edwardsville HS is the Front Office Fiduciary Network Charitable Champion. Jennings, who trains as a gymnast at Mid-Illinois Gymnastics in Godfrey, shares what she loves about her sport, and what her charity of choice means to her. She is joined by her coach Brendan Lawson, who discusses why he nominated her, and his own history with the sport. Finally, Emma Hill, "the most decorated girls golfer in the history of Triad," is in the studio to be recognized as the 2A Golfer of the Year. Hill, who recently finished 4th at state, is joined by her coach Stephanie Potthast, who talks about what Hill has meant to the program.

Then, the MESPY winner for 2A Boys Golfer of the Year, Jacob Florek of Mascoutah HS. Florek talks about his golf-loving family, and he discusses his goals for the future along with his strengths and weaknesses on the course. Next, Red Bud Head Football Coach Dave Lucht is joined by two of his team leaders, Tyrus Carter and Chase Lucht. Coach Lucht shares thoughts on his 23-years as head coach at Red Bud and what he loves about his team. Carter and Chase Lucht, both 3-sport athletes, discuss "keeping busy" at RBHS along with their thoughts on this special season.

Ryan wins the MESPY for 1A Golfer of the Year, and he and his brother Drew, led the Knights to the 1A Team MESPY as well. Ally wins the MESPY for 1A Female Golfer of the Year with her impressive state finish! Together, the trio discuss competing on the course together and growing up at Oak Brook Golf Club. Next, we talk Edwardsville HS Field Hockey with Head Coach Kristina Johnson, who is joined by star defender Emmy Pollock and forward Marie Kaman, who was on pace to break scoring records before a knee injury ended her season. Johnson discusses her vision for the future of EHS Field Hockey, and the girls share what they love about the sport. In the final slot, Alton Boys Golf Coach Dylan Dudley is joined by his top golfer Sam Ottwell, who earned the 3A MESPY with his 5th place finish at state. Dudley describes what Ottwell means to the program, and Ottwell talks about being a three-sport athlete at Alton.
