The New York Mets dropped the finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the opening series of the season.

Nolan McLean was good, but wasn't great. The Mets bats were lackluster and in the end they dropped the game by a score of 4-3 in 10 innings.

We'll discuss the entire game, including Bo Bichette's struggles both offensively and defensively and some questionable decisions by manager Carlos Mendoza.

The Mets beat the Pirates 11-7 on Opening Day at Citi Field. The Mets knocked Paul Skenes out of the game in the first inning, with five runs.

Carson Benge and Francisco Alvarez homered in the game, the Mets had timely hits and good at bats throughout the game.

Tobias Myers pitched 3 innings and gave up 1 run. It was a great day.
