As good of a homestand the Mets had last week is as bad as the road trip has been for the Mets. They split the series in Washington this past week and now have dropped the first two games against the Miami Marlins.

The offense which had some life recently, has gone back to being absolutely brutal including basically being no hit for the first 8 innings of the game on Saturday.

I'll discuss the issues with this team and the other concerns I have on the latest edition of the Metsomania Podcast.

A wild and unpredictable Subway Series resulted in the Mets taking two out of three from their crosstown rival New York Yankees.

After a disastrous start to the series, the Mets rebounded and won on both Saturday and Sunday to take the series. On this episode I break down the final two games of this series and discuss what the difference was for the Mets to win this series.

Plus, I look ahead to the Washington series and discuss what the Mets need to do to keep their season alive.

Clay Holmes took a line drive off the leg of Spencer Jones and broke his fibula. Now the Mets have to figure out life without Holmes and add another injury to their disastrous season.

Plus, the offense went limp again on Friday night as they had couldn't solve Cam Schlittler and the Yankees bullpen and fall to 18-26 on the season.

The season feels like it's slipping away.

The Mets have called up prospect AJ Ewing ahead of this week's series against the Detroit Tigers. Ewing, a 4th round pick in 2023, should play outfield for the club in their attempt to jumpstart a putrid offense. I'll give my take on the move and whether or not I think it will help.

Also, there has been some discussions about the Mets making a trade for a big bat. Is that needed? What would that do? I'll give my opinion on who they should go after and what this team should do moving forward.

Finally, I look ahead to the series vs the Tigers and discuss what I think will happen on Tuesday.

This edition of the Metsomania podcast focuses on the Mets breaking their 12-game losing streak. We also give our thoughts on Juan Soto's comments regarding not communicating w/his teammates during his IL stint and Francisco Lindor's injury.

We also break down Friday's loss against the Rockies and some of the things that happened with this team the past few days.

What else can you say. This team stinks. They've lost 12 games in a row for the first time since 2002. This season is over. I am declaring it tonight.

We still have 139 games to play, but this season is over. This team has no guts, they have no leadership, they have no manager that's why this team will not stage some epic comeback.
