A Special Holy Week Edition: The Passion of Christ - with host Paul Rakowicz

Essential Spiritual Fitness Program (eSFP)

Saturday, April 4, 2015 AD, 11:00 AM EST

This Saturday we take a break during Holy Week to focus our attention on the Passion of Christ.

You'll not ever be a true Christian, unless and until you recognize that at the Cross, Jesus Christ saved you. Not AD 70, not any other time or place, but at the Cross, Christ saved you.

This is to say that He made there, on the Cross, by His one oblation of Himself once offered in the New Testament temple, which was and is His immolated body, a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice, oblation, and satisfaction for the sins of the whole world.

Listen in to share in this message of our redemption.

Part 4: Is The Immolated Body of Christ the Temple? - with host Paul Rakowicz

Essential Spiritual Fitness Program (eSFP)

Saturday, March 28, 2015 AD, 11:00 AM EST

This Saturday we continue our series looking at ALL the covenants of Scripture. Specifically today we'll be discussing the article shared by Scott Hahn and written by Brant Pitre titled "Jesus, the New Temple, and the New Priesthood". This is a great article that ties in nicely to the Genesis creation account of the literal physical universe, the pre-incarnate Christ being the Temple of that original creation, and Jesus the Incarnate Christ being the Temple of the New Covenant.

I know that in modern day preterism there is much confusion about the covenants God made with mankind. In this podcast we will further our discussion of the covenants, from creation to Christ, demonstrating both the profound nature of Genesis chapter 1 as it relates the literal creation of the heavenly and earthly realms, and the progressive revelation that ultimately brings forth the "first" heavens and earth through Moses that is ultimately done away through the advent of the Christ.

This show will help all believers, regardless of your background or current thinking.

Regardless of whether you:

1) Agree with 2000 years of Christian saints that Genesis 1 is about the physical creation, or

2) Are presently confused given the rash of covenant creation running through certain camps, or

3) Are thoroughly convinced that Genesis 1 isn't about the literal creation of the universe

Wherever you're currently at, you will find this show immensely satisfying as it will either 1) bolster your faith, or 2) undo your present confusion, or 3) challenge you to abandon your current belief.

Is Your Hebrew Bible Original? Or A Translation?-w/host Paul Rakowicz AND Special Guest Karl Honegger, a current subscriber of our eSFP and LXX afficianado

Essential Spiritual Fitness Program (eSFP)

Saturday, March 21, 2015 AD, 11:00 AM EST

This Saturday we take a break in our series looking at ALL the covenants of Scripture to invite special guest, Karl Honegger, who is a current subscriber of the eSFP, to share a little bit about his faith journey and his love of the Septuagint.

For thousands of years there has always been only "one" Hebrew language BUT IT HAS TWO DIFFERENT SCRIPTS. The exact date is unknown, but it is believed that around 597 B.C. the Scribes BEGAN TRANSLATING all the Paleo-Hebrew scrolls INTO Babylonian-Hebrew AND THE LANGUAGE WAS REPLACED GRADUALLY OVER TIME. Credit is given to Ezra the scribe, whom refined the letters while in exile in Babylon. Thus, is the origin for its name, Babylonian-Hebrew. Unfortunately THERE ARE NO Paleo-Hebrew scrolls IN EXISTENCE TODAY. It is believed THAT ALL THE OLD SCROLLS IN THE ORIGINAL PALEO-HEBREW DISINTEGRATED BEFORE JESUS CHRIST WAS BORN.

Conclusion: The Septuagint is no more a "translation" than the modern day hebrew text. They both are a translation from the original language which is no longer extant. Which means, if you want to actually study "God's Word", you'll first have to decide which "translation" you will use ... the bible of the Synagogue (the Masoretic text) ... or the Bible of Christ's Church (the Septuagint).
