Today I’m chatting to Award winning Shelley Wilson, Writing Mentor for women, and International multi-genre Best Selling Author.

In this episode, as well as chatting about books, werewolves, and campervans, we chat about how Shelley dreamed of writing as a child, then when she hit her 40s she started blogging which led to her first publication ‘How I Changed My Life’, which is still her best-selling publication and at the time of recording she had published 19 titles (now 20!).

We chat about getting your ideas out of your head to start your writing journey. Shelley also shares how she launched her writer mentoring and how she outsources to experts to get your book published.

We chat around emptying your head into a Journal and literally asking yourself “How am I felling?”. Journaling allows you to monitor your daily thoughts, feelings, and actions, which we so often miss. We also talk about gratitude and focussing on the positive, rather than the negative.

Coaching is about investing in yourself, and your business. Dawn talks about investing in her own coaching journey and her own ‘vomit in the mouth’ moments when she’s made that investment.

Business can be isolating, especially if you work on your own, so having a coach is someone who you can discuss everything with.

Dawn is a huge advocate of making decisions and taking Action.

We also chat about being authentic in coaching, having walked the walk to be able to share that lived experience with your clients.

Finally, Dawn shares about the decision to invest in a coach.

Louise won a Woman Who Achieves Award in 2022.

In the first part of this two-part special Podcast, Louise shares her journey into business with her digital marketing agency. Louise is celebrating her 10th Business Birthday this year.

With a background in Television with Sky TV, Louise now specialises in the strategy behind business marketing and getting the team engaged in a positive way.

We chat around how Louise and her journey from watching TV to engaging in social media. She used her skill set from TV and transferred it into business.

In part two we talk about how Louise stepped back from business in 2019 when her son Fred became ill and subsequently died in the middle of lockdown.

Louise chats about how she dealt with Fred’s death and her return to work in the middle of the pandemic and how she rebuilt her business during a period of grief. Louise highlights how we don’t talk about grief.

Today I’m joined by Clair MacKenzie of the Best You Coach.

Clair is a Life, Health and Weight Coach. She has coached 100s of women from all over the world and helps women (plus a few men too) with their weight loss mindset.
