It's the great Spencer Wharton! His bands The Static Creatures and The Infamists are fixtures around town. We related to each other on quite a few topics including the Rolling Stones, being sober for a year, losing a close loved one, the powerful Ryker Hall, and a whole lot more. A very special guest episode in the Habitat this week as I got to talk with the one and only Becky the Poet from the Unspoken Words podcast. She, more than any one else I've talked to, knows firsthand what it's like to commit and be consistent with podcasting. We talked about how she started, self-reflection, self-discovery, parental expectations, family and coworkers listening to the podcast, and a lot more. This is an interesting listen for anyone wanting to/thinking about starting a podcast. I've thought about this episode a lot since it was recorded. "Doing a podcast" can mean a lot of different things. It is, like everything, whatever you make out of it. Same goes for all art.
