The Hard Seltzer Advent Calendar is the first of many curated hard seltzer offerings planned to launch seasonally starting in Spring 2022, designed to expose HSBCo.’s growing global community to superior craft hard seltzers through their curated boxes. Hard Seltzer Box Co. is the fourth successful company led by Founder and CEO, Shannon Long. Ms. Long is no rookie to the craft beer space. She also owns and operates Brew Export, LLC, based in Michigan and Brew Export UK Limited, based in Scotland, where she partners with over 150 US breweries to export their products overseas. In 2018, she won a Michigan Emmy for co-producing and starring in the 20- episode series Pure Brews America. She was also recently recognized as a Crain’s Detroit Business 20 in their Twenties Honoree.

In 2019, Brace was appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to serve on the Governor's Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect. Since January 2020, Alex has joined other professionals around the state to combat child abuse. He serves on the board for the Children's Advocacy Centers of Michigan. He was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. Alex has been with Small Talk since 2011.

  • Leadership Lowdown | "Momentary Mastery"
    Terry Bean has a tremendous passion for helping others get better connected to what they seek. He takes time to uncover people’s needs and leverages his network and knowledge to see them fulfilled. His early career included selling technology products and services including telecom solutions, data networks, application development and even people. It was during his first stint as a technology headhunter in Columbus, Ohio that he began to refine his innate networking skills.
    He returned to the Detroit area in 2000 and began building a totally new network. His love of Detroit compelled him to create Motor City Connect in 2006. MCC was one of the first hybrid online and real world networking groups in the country. It has provided business opportunities, guidance and inspiration to 1000′s since the inception. Terry is also credited with creating the movement that celebrates March 13 as Detroit Day.
    We caught up with Terry and boy are we glad we did! He reminds us to "Love the moments we live" and we are grateful to have a moment of his time on this edition of the Leadership Lowdown! Tune in and do your best to keep up! He moves fast!!

  • Media Business | How Media Deals with Bias and Decorum
    Tony spends some time with Doctor John H.Braccio, who has been in private practice as a Fully Licensed Psychologist in Michigan since 1978. He continues an active private practice. He earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 1971. He founded Regional Psychological Services in 1981 and continues to be the Director.
    In a professional career beginning as a classroom teacher in 1966, Dr. Braccio has taught school in California and Michigan, been a public school administrator, worked as a consultant at various levels, has done innumerable inservices and training sessions, has taught many graduate and undergraduate classes at Michigan State University, has done executive coaching and consultations, and has done many thousands of hours of individual psychotherapy and psychological assessments. He lectures, does workshops and writes on such topics as AD/HD, Weight Loss, Marriage and Divorce, Addiction, Smoking Cessation, Anger Management, Test Anxiety, Learning Disabilities and Hypnosis. He has written over 400 newspaper articles, three books and developed numerous self-help tapes, CDs and DVDs.
    Dr. Braccio has determined he would like to share the knowledge, wisdom and insights he has learned from working with thousands of persons since he began his career in education and psychology as a classroom room teacher in 1966. Even though he developed many self-help tape programs over a 25 year period, it was not until 2005 that he was determined to share his vast knowledge on a large scale.
    Dr. Braccio has developed informational learning and self-help CD and DVD Programs entitled, “I’m Free From Smoking” Program, “I’m Free From Test Anxiety” Program, “Keep The Love In Your Marriage” Program, I’m Free From Destructive Anger” Program, “Panic Attacks: Stop Them Now!”, “A Seminar on the Step-Family”, “Tips for better time management that take into account yourself, the organization, and in a special place, customer service” and “Liberate Yourself From Weight Gain” Program. They combine the latest information and Dr. Braccio’s self-help ideas on a DVD or CD and a powerful trance hypnosis self-help, deep-relaxation CD for each person. His goal is to tap into the power of both the conscious and unconscious. Hear Dr. Braccio every Tuesday at 7:15 AM on 1320 talk radio with Dave Akerly on the “Morning Wakeup Show with Dave Akerly”. Dr. Braccio talks with Dave Akerly on timely topics of the day.

    Tony Conley speaks with Patrick De Haan, who started with GasBuddy in 2009.
    Patrick has analyzed and tracked oil markets and fuel prices for nearly two decades. A graduate of DePaul University, Patrick has a degree in Business Economics and has concentrated on downstream oil markets, including crude oil, gasoline, diesel and jet fuel since 2005, when Patrick and a professor at Grand Valley State University launched a blog in that shared oil market insights and predicted gas price movements.
    With a solid foundation, Patrick went to work with GasBuddy, a fuel-price tracking service, providing expertise for millions of users. Since then, he has provided regular commentary to U.S. News and World Report and is often quoted during gas price gyrations and fuel disruptions by almost all U.S. and international media outlets.
