  • Steve Klaver | Adapting How We Do Office to the COVID19 Era.
Chris Holman connects with Steve Klaver, Co-Owner, Vice President, C.O.O. of DBI.
They discuss a periodic update on how things are for DBI, especially how the company that deals in office supplies, office furniture, design and installation has been navigating circumstances during the COVID19 era.
Steve shares that they're doing great, COVID definitely affected them leading to the furloughed of a bunchof workers, the company is bringing some back, and those workers are following social distancing, selling lots of PPE equipment.
Office supplies, office furniture, occurs mostly business to business, however, there's the retail outlet in Lansing that's seeing people setting up home offices - quite busy. These furloughs are a mix of different slowdowns of their customers,... constructions slow, local schools not doing the same set of supplies, work from home, and competition from folks at home who simply make Amazon orders,...
Design of offices transitioning, and being mindful of the offices of the future, cubicle designs with low panels, going back to high panels or plex-glass, providing a barrier, masks, hand sanitizer, right-sized for the time being, initially thought we'd be closer to normal by now, but that hasn't happened. But by the new year hopefully will put us closer to normal.
