Jeffrey Mosher speaks with Nancy J. Bailey owner of Clifford the Horse, and they're both artists. Sparrow doesn't often get horses visiting but a special one came to entertain young Patients at Sparrow. It’s Clifford, the Morgan horse from Charlotte (and Drummond Island) who’s famed for his painting skills and as the subject of several books. Clifford has become nationally known with viral videos showing his incredible painting. We will bring the young Patients from the Sparrow Children’s Center to visit with Clifford and delight in his antics on a parking deck of Sparrow Hospital. There’s a serious medical purpose here, too: Clifford’s visit is part of our innovative pet therapy program in which Patients benefit from the healing and emotional powers of animals.
