Michigan Golf

Evan & Derek join this episode of the Michigan Golf podcast to talk Alpine Golf Club & the first of many 2 on 2 scramble matches as we try to convert Derek from a NASCAR fan to an avid golfer! ⛳️🏌🏼

This episode we’re going to talk yesterday’s qualifier @ CCL. What went well, what went poorly, and how it all shook out in the end. We’re also going to chat about what’s to come for the remainder of the season here on The Michigan Golf podcast, so tune in & check it out!

After a tough go at the Kent County Am and missing the first round cut, I took the opportunity to learn from what didn’t go well & how I can improve moving forward. This episode I touch on the struggles I faced & how I changed my approach this last week in preparation for my Michigan Open qualifier at the Country Club of Lansing!

This episode is extra special as we have TWO guest joining us today! Paul is back to field some questions with me from a good, non golfer, friend of ours! I talk golf the way I experience it, but this time we’re talking golf with a guy who knows very little about the game, so tune in for some fun & friendly banter with a golf newbie.

Today we’re doing a quick overview of Kaufman GC here on the southwest side of Grand Rapids! It’s my home course, maybe a little biased, but it’s my personal favorite public track in the city. We’ll cover the course & the upcoming Kent County Am this weekend as we try not to sweat recording this podcast in my car!

Happy 4th of July everyone, hope you’re staying cool out there! Quick recap of 9 holes at Bear Lake with Dad, Grandpa & my brother Brentton. Been a warm week off dedicating some time to things other than the game of golf! Also dropping some spoilers on what’s to come on the Michigan Golf podcast!

Today on the pod we’re going to recap our first event on The Mitten Golf tour! Spoiler alert, Paul was invited back, we played well & had a great time so push play and hear all about The Meadows, the competition, & how we played in our first two man scramble experience together!

This episode we welcome Paul, my boss & good friend, that will be teaming up with me for our first event on the Mitten Golf Tour! We’ll talk the Meadows at Grand Valley State University as well as our expectations for the event as we get ready to tee it up together in competition for the first time in 2 years!

Went 10 days between episodes after wondering if my pod was cool enough to go a week between talks, so lots to catch up on. We’ll recap the City Matchplay at Sunnybrook and talk about what’s to come on the pod over the coming weeks!

Thought I’d drop a quick pod to talk about my upcoming match play event at Sunnybrook, share a little bit about the course & talk a little gear and share what’s in my bag and why!
