Michigan's AutoTalk Episode 59: "Car shows, cruise-Ins, concerts, and hundreds of classics at the Gilmore Car Museum," executive producer Phil Tower joins co-hosts Al Schwinkendorf and John Puhek for a live podcast recording and an insider's look at the amazing Gilmore car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. We were joined in this episode by Josh Russell, executive director of The Gilmore Car Museum. Just like us, Josh is a car lover and has a history immersed in everything automotive. We cover a lot of ground with him and you will appreciate his passion for the museum!

If you've never visited, it's definitely worth a drive to the Gilmore in Southwest Michigan. The Gilmore Car Museum, in fact, is North America's largest auto museum with over 400 vehicles on display and over 190,000 square feet of exhibit space. The Museum’s 90-acre Historic Campus features numerous vintage structures including a restored and fully-functioning 1941 Silk City Diner, a recreated 1930s Shell Station, six onsite Partner Museums, and so much more.

The Gilmore Car Museum is so much more than just cars... as it hosts classes, Cruise-ins, car shows, and so many other family and fun events for the public and for members of the museum.

Jeremy also gives us the inside scoop on The West Michigan Mustang Club's" annual All Ford Show, happening June 11, in Grand Rapids. In this episode, Michigan's AutoTalk Episode 57: "6 quick and affordable ways to dress up your project car," executive producer Phil Tower chats with automotive writer and classic car expert Kyle Smith from Hagerty.com. Kyle has been writing great stuff for Hagerty.com for many years and he's also the proud owner of a 1965 Chevy Corvair. As Kyle wrote in his recent article on affordable ways to dress up your project car, "Once I have a project car working like it should, I find there comes an odd stagnation period in which nothing is broken but the total package doesn’t yet fit my vision for the finished product. In this strange space, there is a lot of interesting and satisfying work to be done, without having to pursue the nuclear option of a full cosmetic restoration."

We spoke with Kyle about each of the six options for dressing up your classics and there are a few surprises hidden in our conversation.

In this episode, Michigan's AutoTalk Episode 56: "The saga and sinking of the car carrier Felicity Ace along with $155,000,00 worth of luxury vehicles," producer Phil Tower and co-host Al Schwinkendorf breakdown the story of the now sunken car carrier, "The Felicity Ace," a car carrier that sank off Portugal near the Azores Islands in late February with nearly 4,000 luxury cars aboard. TheDrive.com later reported that "the full manifest released in April showed there were a few notable older vehicles aboard, including a 1996 Honda Prelude SiR, said to be the 65th example ever produced by Honda." That rare model now rests approximately 9,800 feet under the Atlantic according to the Drive.com

In fact nobody knows just how many Camaros we're stolen but police say five stolen Chevrolet Camaros were recovered. The nine punks now face multiple charges including fleeing police and concealing a stolen vehicle. The details of this heist are amazing and sound like they're right out of the Fast and Furious script.
