To mark International Soap Week, we’ve got a special interview with someone who’s been involved in just about every major UK soap out there. Mickey Jones began his career as a storyliner on Coronation Street before stepping in front of the camera to play larger-than-life barman Lance Powell in Brookside. Since then, he’s returned behind the scenes to direct episodes of Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, and Corrie - a role he continues to this day. In this interview, Mickey reflects on his soap career, reveals some behind-the-scenes secrets, and shares his thoughts on the genre as a whole - including where he sees it heading in the future.
