Here's another life update, and I hope, an encouragement that we can still be loved.
At the time that I recorded this episode it's late and I'm mentally exhausted, but it's important to me that I take a moment to share this update with you. I hope that it finds you well.
In this episode I finally release Part II of my conversation with friend Leah Johnson (@leah_mojo). We discuss toxic shame in regard to men and women by examining an announcement made by a youth pastor which was shared on social media. This is a deep conversation, one which goes beyond the shallows. It is a "gray area". Opinions on such a topic will likely please no one. But rather than being avoidant or absent I hope that we would press in, wading through the uncomfortable waters together in grace and humility.

I believe much of the church, but as well much of our western culture has held a very narrow view of sexuality. In this episode I question what it means to be heterosexual, single and Christian especially as a man with toxic shame to prove one's sexuality and manliness and with mixed messages received from culture and society on what traits constitutes for a desirable and admirable man.
Mentions & Other References From This Episode:
In this episode I attempt to process and discuss the current political state of the world while referencing 2 sources. One of which in particular, I believe offers an interesting and unique perspective, albeit an unconventional perspective at that. However, still it may be food for thought all the same.

In this short episode I discuss and attempt to process the latest events taking place outside of the US, but how we're all affected by it in some way no matter how big or small. What might be the invitation for all of us and how might we respond? Let's talk about it.
In this, my 30th episode I give my honest reflects on my time with this podcast, where I am now and my experience of leaving my 20's and now continuing life into my 30's.

With this episode I unofficially conclude my series on deep conversation. I discuss confidence and how insecurity can limit our level of openness and prevent us from being transparent. I talk about when shame turns toxic and how avoiding conflict creates further conflict in the future. Walk away now and you’re gonna start a war.

It's one thing to be a person of depth, but it's another thing entirely to be open with your depth and the depth of others. In this episode I continue my series on deep conversation by looking at the subject of openness. I discuss upbringing and early influences and how I believe this attributes to our level of openness.

From puddles to oceans, in this episode friend Leah Johnson (@leah_mojo) and I discuss depth and engaging others in conversation that goes beyond the shallows.
