The police have arrested a pastor in Mankessim in the Central Region after he confessed to helping a chief kidnap, kill, and secretly bury a 22-year-old nurse trainee.

The Ghana Police Service has announced a reward of ¢100,000 for persons who can volunteer credible information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of perpetrators behind the recent killings in Wa.

The Managing Director of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), Dr Clifford Braimah, has bemoaned the pollution of water bodies across the country. According to him, apart from the contamination from illegal mining activities, water bodies in the country are subjected to other pollutants.

Galamsey kingpin Aisha Huang is to remain in police custody for the next two weeks as the Accra Circuit Court has turned down her request for bail.

Miss Huang, according to the prosecution in her trial, sneaked out of the country which truncated her prosecution. It was perceived that the illegal mining kingpin was deported according to earlier reports back in 2018.
